It seems it comes down to the very hardwiring of people, why there may not be any real possibility of negotiating with them.
Across almost all sub-groups, the western world is consumed by self-hate. I’m not sure why, but it seems stark to me. Many Jews hate Israel. Many women hate women. Many gay men hate lesbians (and vice versa). It goes on and on. The modern world just breeds narcissism and anger and self-loathing.

Prior to WW 2, many whites took pride in their nation, their ethnicity, their faith, their race. They discriminated in favor of their own. And it was commonly accepted that intelligence and temperament were genetically inherited.
After WW2, all that was considered disreputable, evil, the sort of ideas and attitudes that lead to death camps.
Which is why whites today are so easily cowed, and so eager to be seen helping anyone other than a fellow white.

as someone who grew up during that era from the mid-60s to the mid-70s, my very best estimate of the primary reason the younger folks protest the way they do is simply because of the Glorification of the 2 “hippy” era’s” we as a country country muddled through.there was a certain “social magic” that permeated the Soul of so many and by the 70s these same people realized that “man, if you really want to change society...get involved in government Man”. fast forward and the young people feel like they “missed the boat” of heartfelt protest that has a soul. they long to feel the rush deep in their being that their parents and grandparents felt when making progress against “The Man”! just imagine what will happen when the current generation realizes that their parents and grandparent ARE now “The Man”?

So he has to gain social status by virtue signaling, pleading a social cause. Getting resources and mates by appealing to those outside his group as well.
Women do it for similar but other reasons as well which such an internal drive to mothering and protecting the perceived vulnerable individual. Thanks to massive and intentional social messaging the illegal aliens appear as such.
