Massive Fire Breaks Out at Texas Chicken Farm; Firefighters Struggle to Tackle Blaze

A large fire broke out at a Texas chicken farm this week, and firefighters are expected to tackle the blaze for several days.

The massive fire broke out at Feather Crest Farms fire in Kurten, Texas, roughly 100 miles north of Houston, in Brazos County.

KXXV-TV reported that no workers or other people were injured or killed in the incident.

So far, the cause of the fire is unknown.

Firefighters from multiple local departments have been battling the blaze since Monday.

“Upon arrival there were two buildings on Feather Crest Farms property,” Jason Ware, deputy emergency management coordinator for Brazos County, said Monday.

“At this time the fire is contained to the two buildings.”

So far, it is unknown how many chickens were killed in the fire.

No information was released about how many chickens were killed in the fire.

Reports said two structures on fire were beginning to collapse.

Meanwhile, some residents experienced low water pressure as firefighters fought the blaze.

Brazos County Sheriff Wayne Dicky told residents not to drive to the scene so that emergency vehicles could enter.

The outlet noted:

According to Brazos County Sheriff Wayne Dicky, Democrat Road is closed and all lanes of Highway 21 are back open, but authorities are urging people to stay away from the area and not stop on the side of the road to take photos.

The fire come amid a string of suspicious fires at food plants over 2022 and 2023.

According to Bloomberg data, “food plant fire” reports jumped the most in a decade last year.

A gas line in Texas, now a chicken farm, all in 24 hours?
Plus trucks are headed to Texas and Bribem hasn’t decided yet to send troops yet. Is it all a coincidence, Oor just a focus on Texas this week?
