The five people gathered around the restaurant table do not fit the profile of colon cancer patients. They’re female, and they’re young. Two were diagnosed in their 20s, one in her 30s, two in their early 40s.
Their colon cancer support group gathers about once a month to share stories, such as the one about the doctor who said you just need a laxative, the one about the oncologist who said there’s nothing we can do for you but give you chemotherapy the rest of your life, the one about friends saying, “You don’t look sick,” without realizing that isn’t helpful.
These women know all too painfully well that something strange is happening in the United States in the long war on cancer. Although progress has been substantial in lowering the overall death rate from cancer, deaths due to some types of cancer have increased among people younger than 50.
Colorectal cancer is one of the drivers of this trend. In the past three decades, incidence of the disease has risen significantly among people younger than 50, many of whom have no obvious risk factors, such as having a genetic predisposition. No one knows why.

Does anyone see what young Americans eat? Duh. It looks like early heart disease is just one risk.
Big Ag is killing people.
Could it be due to diet? Soda, fast food, that kind of thing?
Wonder how many of them are Vegans?
No exercise, poor diet, inadequate nutrition and fiber, pesticides and herbicides as well as preservatives and artificial everything in processed food, fast food diets and now the 💉 which some have said has contributed to ‘turbo cancer’.
Other than that, I dunno what could be causing an increase in cancer.

If you look how a lot of them eat….the answer is clear.
Do you think they are eating a lot of salads and raw fruit?
One of the reasons I would seriously consider moving the Europe. The quality of the food there is so much better, and it’s not even close.

I just returned from a work trip to Japan. I discovered what an actual tomato tasted like. It was sharp and tart. Quite delicious and unlike anything I've eaten here.

Anal “sex”? HPV can cause rectal cancer.... can’t see why it couldn’t cause colonic cancer. Oral “sex” and HPV is known to cause back of the throat, tonsillar, and base of the tongue cancers...no big stretch here...no pun intended.
Even if they associate the colon cancers with HPV....would not expect a change in behaviour...HIV, monkeypox, syphilis., Chlamydia, herpes, gonorrhea hasn’t changed the behaviour very much.
Recent report of 5 different women who had “sex” at different times with one man known to have untreated syphilis. The women all had to be treated for syphilis infection of their eyes. Gee, I wonder how that happened....
Too much “spicy” food and screamin’ hot peppers. Their colons are surrendering.
