Herd of Sheep Eat 100kg of Cannabis in Greece

A herd of sheep grazing in the semi-flooded plain of Thessaly, Greece “invaded” a greenhouse that cultivated medicinal cannabis and ate around a hundred kilograms, reports say.

The incident happened near the town of in Almyros in Magnesia TheNewspaper.gr website reports.

Sheep in Greece developed “strange behavior” after feeding on cannabis As the sheep in Greece developed strange behavior, shortly after grazing, the shepherd realized that the sheep had eaten a large part of the cannabis crop.

The owner of the greenhouse saw that his production, which had already been heavily damaged by Storm Daniel, had now been consumed by the sheep which were struggling to find fresh grass due to floods.

“I don’t know if it’s for laughing or crying,” he told TheNewspaper.gr website. “We had the heatwave, and we lost a lot of production. We had the floods, we lost almost everything. And now this…The herd entered the greenhouse and ate what was left. I don’t know what to say, honestly.”

Grecian Delight supports Greece Investments in pharmaceutical cannabis have taken off in Greece in recent years. While many Greek farmers initially adopted a “wait-and-see” attitude to the cultivation of cannabis, it soon became clear that its cultivation would solve many problems facing farmers.

In January 2023, Greece’s first-ever medicinal cannabis production plant was inaugurated at Examilia, near Corinth.

The investment by Tikun Europe, a subsidiary of Israel-based Tikun Olam, was welcomed by the then Greek Development & Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis who said at the time that this is “a product which we will be able to export throughout Europe because this factory can carry out huge exports to all major European countries.”

Sheep and other livestock were killed in the floods Sheep like many other animals have suffered following the recent deadly floods in central Greece.

More than a hundred thousand animals have been killed from the floods that swept Thessaly and parts of Central Greece with the mayor of Tyrnavos, Yiannis Kokouras, noting that “if there is no immediate aid in animal feed, then the livestock that survived the disaster will die of starvation.”

The flooding has struck a huge blow to livestock and agricultural production not only for the region but for the whole country.

“Large livestock units were lost and unfortunately it is the period of the production process. Rural and country roads were destroyed. Thousands of acres of farmland are under tons of water,” Kokouras added.

Agriculture in Thessaly, the region regarded as the bread-basket of Greece, has been devastated by the recent floods that left 17 people dead.

Αlmost 70 percent of the cotton crop in Thessaly, Greece is estimated to have been damaged. Farmers on the slopes of Mount Pelion, which overlooks the plain of Thessaly, say they face millions of euros in damage to their apple crops from the flooding.

Question 1: When did American democrats begin to flock to Greece en masse for vacation?

Question 2: When did they start (correctly) referencing a group of American democrats as a ‘herd’?

40+ years ago had a buddy with a 12 year old german shepherd named Smokey who would follow the joint around the room with each person blowing their smoke in his face.
Then he would go lay down until the next joint.

The region is named for “Magnes”, a male human character in ancient Greek mythology. Magnesium and Manganese (the metallic elements) are named after the region.

What other possible explanation could there be for 200 pounds of pot missing from the legal medicinal marijuana supply?

Sounds like one of the greatest mysteries since "the dog ate my homework".
