The 19 year old is special needs.. parents claim this is a one off.. may or may not be, and then cops berate the parents of the 3 year old?
Not a chance in hell, I would be swearing out a warrant immediately against the 19 year old and make a formal complaint against the female cop.
Like it or not your 19 year old Special needs kid is the parents responsibility.. the fact the police would even suggest it’s the 3 year olds parents fault would force my action against the 19 year old and herself.

The problem is “autistic” is so broad. I would need to know more about how profound this particular person is to analyze this further. Also, it sounds like all sides could be more understanding - the parents of the special needs person could have been more assertive in apologizing, and said they would take steps to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
The parents of the 3 year old should have been more empathetic and worked with the parents of the special needs child to see how they could work together to make things better for everyone.
Maybe he was imitating what the President of the United States does.

Judging by his behavior in the video, I'd guess this young man is profoundly autistic.
However, the police officers' response to the little boy's mother was horrible.

I will back the blue as long as they defend the constitution. But where in it does it say or even suggest police should take sides like they did so obviously? Even more against an innocent defenseless child when he was wronged.
