A Florida man was arrested after allegedly drowning his family’s dog in a community pool in a fit of vengeance during a domestic dispute, police said.
Corey Vaughn Dacres, 25, was arrested Sunday after killing his family’s beloved pit bull terrier named Unity at the San Tropez apartment complex pool in Pembroke Pines, officials said.
Police said Dacres left his residence with the 6-year-old dog in tow following a heated argument with his family Sunday night, tossing the helpless pooch over the fence towards the community pool.
After hopping the 5-foot fence, Dacres proceeded to shove Unity underwater, holding the pit bull there until she drowned.
He then returned home to tell his family what he had just done, prompting them to call police.
“It appears that the actions that he took to kill the family dog was a revengeful action as a result of an argument he had with his family,” Pembroke Pines Police spokesperson Al Xiques told NBC 6.

He seems rational.
Seems to me that Trump made that kind of thing a felony.

There is a rationality behind it.
If you want to hurt a woman most, hurt the ones she loves the most.
It’s just not right.
Hmmm... A pit bull...
Could be tough to take sides on this one if you factor in the possibility of the lives of kids or senior citizens that might have been saved as a result...
The article just says “family” so might have been the woman, might have been his dad, his brother, his uncle or even his son.

Well, he’s a FELON now (Thank You, President Trump!), and that should keep him behind bars for a while to prevent the drowning his own children and any future offspring.
*SPIT*
Each state has its own animal cruelty laws. How did this become a federal offense? Even murdering humans is only federal if the murder takes place on federal land. Meanwhile, a national right to life for unborn children is left on a back burner. When did animals take precedence over human beings?
The more people I meet, the more I like my dog.
What an evil &@#%!
I wonder if he’s related in some way to Michael Vick?
It be sweet irony if Dacres ended up as road kill one day.
My beautiful bride used to watch Animal Cops. Real police who take on this work after decades of dealing with human scum. Unfortunately, the scum that treat animals badly are almost worse than human-to-human creeps. Each episode was an hour long. The last 15 minutes of each episode was often joyful, as the abused / neglected animal received medical care and a new home. You could see on the cops faces what they really want to do to these creeps. In one episode they wanted to put the human in the cage, and let the puppy have the house.
Sometimes, I would come home, and my wife was crying her eyes out. After enough evenings of coming home to tears, I suggested we record the episodes, and she could just watch the last 10-15 minutes. One of our favorites is the dog that lost use of the back legs. The veterinarian constructed a rear harness contraption, with wheels. The dog came alive again, with a big dog smile, and returned to long walks in the park.
At least it was a pit bull.

No kidding.
He gonna find out what "felony animal cruelty" is all about, up close and personal.
