This pizza came in hot.
A Texas woman shared the shocking moment a pizza deliveryman cursed her out over the $5 tip she gave him for an order she said cost just $20.
Lacey Purcival posted the video on TikTok, showing a DoorDash driver she identified as Corey delivering dinner to her home.
The deliveryman can be seen ringing the doorbell, and Purcival opening the door and greeting him.
After nearly dropping the pizza as he pulled it out of its sleeve, Corey handed over the pie as Purcival thanked him enthusiastically.

He’s out of job now. Got canned
If she gave him a $100 tip, he still would have been just as bitter.
My standard tip for adequate service is 20%. For exceptional service it’s more. This driver is a jerk.
For future reference, is there some sort of minimum expectation tip amount for door dash?
I always order carryout, never delivery. It’s cheaper and I know there ain’t some fat schmuck eating my food.
Work is a four letter word for some….🤣
Well, the driver is now free to apply himself and maybe get a better job, training, or education so he can have a house like that. Until then, he needs an attitude adjustment like that old country song!
We have a restaurant we go to frequently, I know the owner also, when we walk in they treat us exceptionally well, like royalty and go out of their way to serve us efficiently and quickly. I tip the amount of the bill usually, The other day we had a new server, she only got 20% because we had to wait for some things longer than normal.
DoorDash said they fired him.

Yes. But I wonder. This guy wasn’t a server at a restaurant. He had to drive what might have been a considerable distance to reach the house.
That’s not the fault of the lady, of course. Does DoorDash tack on a mileage and time fee? If not, they probably should.
If you have anything of value, you owe it to them to give more./s
Gee, sorry I had to work hard for decades to have nice things but here, you can take whatever I have struggled to achieve or purchase.
20% is my max.
Actually, the $20 pizza probably is only a $12-15 pizza - add on taxes and probably a delivery fee so he was getting over 33%.
Source: worked with people who would tip only on actual amount of food, not the taxes.
I never have to deal with snarky food delivery people because, on the rare occasions I eat out, I pick it up myself.
Kind of naïve of this woman. General tip rules don’t apply to Uber Eats and DoorDash - Think more like 50 - 100%. Most users learn that they really have to up their tip game to even get a good reliable driver to pick up their order and deliver it in a timely manner. You usually don’t want some of the people willing to pick up at below 25%.
