I bet Anonymous has not plowed all of its money into puts and short sales of bank stocks. Because come Tuesday, the banking system will remain strong and sound. But at least Anonymous will get clicks.

There is no such thing as a secure server if it has an internet connection ...or old style modem.
Basic front line defense is a bat file that auto bans ips that try to connect too many times in a short time span.
Then ban ips that present certain known code snips ect...
I imagine FR has a log file with thousands of banned ips.
It used to be easy to “google” compromised code snips and get lists of sites running the code. It's harder now. But ....
My point is .... if enough of the wrong people with the right tools decided that some site or server was going down .. it would go down.
Ever notice that it is easier to tear something down ..than it is to build it up.
This could be a hoax ... hoping to cause a run .. or
It could be a group wanting credit out front ..
I'm not running out and emptying my bank account ... but I am keeping an eye out for odd traffic.

It will re invent the Banking System as it is now known.
In a discussion yesterday not on FR, I said there is a reason the Fed paused. Based on all the data, they should not have paused. Suspect is the rollout of FedNow. But...they need a good ole cyberattack to justify it.

They paused so people wouldn’t wait on buying fed bonds. I read that but I’m not a bond trader. Trying to get people and institutions to buy longer maturity debt/fed bonds. About 5 Trillion looking for safe returns. What’s better than buying up fed paper at 3.5-5% rate with “no risk”. Not sure I believe it but the thing I read said Fed would pause due to that about 3 weeks ago. They did.
It would happen online at a tap of a button. People still think this is about grabbing cash. A bank run willbe cyber.

The US’s push for sovereign digital currency ( cashless) hasn’t even addressed the issue of extended power loss…..when instated, entire nations can be collapsed with electricity as a “ weapon”, not a shot fired.
Exciting times we are entering, “ wealth” is being totally redefined.
Just try going to the bank and pulling a reasonable amount of cash, like a nice used cars worth. Be hard to get it from what I have read. Honestly if you want cash, just hit your atm over and over. My bank has 500 per day per account. I have 2 ATM cards. Never tried to do both mine and both my wife’s. That would be 2K per day. I know I can do 1K per day. Bought some used equipment from farmers and they do cash.

The Twitter video posted by the entity, Anonymous, is a shocker. So, messaging. In the sense of seeking an effect.
Could a mess occur worldwide digitally? I doubt it. Additionally, if a huge collapse were to occur, recovery would also follow.
Many of our West German friends joined East Germans, some of whom became our friends, danced on the wall as the DDR collapsed. Only days later, the "eastern" economy began its recovery. Only days.
Additionally the several times I worked in Brazil I was paid in currency, one in the first instance, and then a different one years later. Brazil's currency today is yet another. Additionally we once earned Deutschmarks and then Euros as our bank converted from one currency to another. None of this is new.
What else is not new?
All sorts of scary stories. From kids' fables to major media headlines, and now unsocial "social media." Be afraid. Be very afraid. That's message. It was centuries ago, and it will the next times (plural) is comes along.
