There has always been speculation that something like this could happen, it’s probably just an idle threat but it could be serious
If you are Russia and tired of all the NATO weapons being shipped to Ukraine, why not unleash hackers inside of Russia and elsewhere on the Western banking system, if it works it could be devastating and you would have plausible deniability
These hackers could be anywhere not necessarily inside Russia
Self-fulfilling prophesy, if enough people make a bank run in the next couple of days.

Well, it would not take much to cause distrust in banking and a massive run on the bank.
To bad most people do not understand that there is no where near enough M1 money supply to cover all deposits.

Anonymous has to be a CIA operation. How is it none of these hackers ever ‘hack’ to release Hillary’s emails, or the JFK files, or anything at all that would actually help regular people and expose the deep state?
I would be completely hosed as I am out of state taking care of my dying father. Rental car, hotel, etc. Lots of drama.
Specifically targeting European banking systems. But causing worldwide havoc. We’ll see.
I’ve always thought if you really wanted to destabilize a country like the USA thru some type of cyber-attack, obviously the financial system would be a major target, along with the electrical infrastructure and air traffic control systems.
Imagine if the power went out nationwide for an extended period of time, combined with a number of planes crashing and people locked out of their bank accounts.
Personally, if I wasn’t on airplane at the time, I would be relatively unaffected, but for the vast majority of the public it would be mass chaos and anarchy.

I predict that most banks will be closed within 14 hours from now - and all day Monday.
Some US government websites spent yesterday fighting off hacking attacks. That’s what I heard on Newsmax. They said if you couldn’t access a website, they were working to bring it back up. I dunno.
Well, that would make for a memorable Father’s Day.
People do this stuff and usually it is just idle threats.
