Those that get tattoos all over their bodies are bowing to a primitive lifestyle. No different than if they put wooden plates into their mouths to stretch their lips like monkeys. They want to show the world how savage and brutish they are. They have succeeded. /spit
The days are long gone when an unemployed bum could always find a job at a freak show after getting him/herself tatted up.
mental illness
Lots of cultures around the world perform scarification and tattoos for standards of beauty and status. I know the vast majority of FReepers, at least in threads like these, don’t particularly like tattoos on their partners, but there’s one simple rule that helps evade regret: Make sure it symbolizes something personal and important to you.
I do like tattoos on women, though I have only one. It’s on my right hand, between my thumb and forefinger. It says, “LOVE”, and I designed the font for it. I got it after my first breakup (we dated for 7½ years starting at 14 and were talking marriage) as a reminder that I’m loved by someone, no matter how I hurt - by family, friends, whomever; I’m loved. Sounds corny, I bet.
Once I advance through careers in medicine, I plan on getting a Rod of Asclepius on my back. Not huge, probably three or four inches long.
I think she looks lovely, ink included.
Should anyone who can afford a tattoo be allowed to receive government assistance?
The very same woman who, by CHOICE, had her healthy breasts surgically removed, as a PREVENTATIVE to ever having BREAST CANCER!
Think about that one?
***these people are trying so hard to be nonconformist that they become conformists.***
As they say, “Young people today all want to be *different* just like everybody else”. :-)
1 Corinthians 3:16-17Growing up as a Methodist, I was taught not to defile your Holy Temple.16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Completely unemployable.
I wish that we had a like button because I think there are probably a higher percentage of people who regret removing body parts than regret tattoos.
And I'm 6'3" and over 200 pounds.
Lots of young people just can’t seem to see anything in the future nor the consequences of what they do.
At least this young women didn’t destroy her face... the trans kids will be much sadder when they start flooding in in a few years.
A lady doesn’t kiss and tell!
There’s a small taboo that’s kind of cute then there’s body art.
