Keith Olbermann notes the Second Amendment doesn’t protect the right to own a firearm

Last we heard from Harvard’s David Hogg, he was working on a paper on the Second Amendment for his constitutional law class. He’ll probably get an A+ for the same reason Harvard granted him admission over much more gifted young people. Hogg’s takes on the Second Amendment are universally terrible, but Keith Olbermann got triggered by a tweet Thursday that led him to lay down the hammer on gun ownership.

House Judiciary GOP

@JudiciaryGOP

#BREAKING: The Judiciary Committee just voted to repeal the ATF’s unconstitutional ban on pistol braces. Big win for the Second Amendment.

Keith Olbermann

@KeithOlbermann

Hey, asshole. How come the second amendment doesn't contain the word "own" or any synonym for it? Because it's not about private ownership.

Thanks for clearing that up! Usually, they go after the “musket” argument or the “well-regulated” argument. But if the founders had meant for people to own guns, they would have put the word “own” in there.

J.G. Petruna @jgpetruna '...the word "own" or any synonym...'

"...keep and bear..."

Keith, you're an idiot.

The Second Amendment is to ensure protection against such tyrants as Keith Olbermann who seek to disarm us and thus leave us vulnerable.

Keith Olbermann is 100% irrelevant. Surprised anyone listens to him.

Is this crazy old bass turd still alive? Heck, I thought he died many moons ago. The boy needs to read up on the Bill of Rights and the Second Amendment if he wants to flatulate about them.

If it isn’t about private right, why is it in the Bill of Rights? That’s a weird place to put something about forming a militia.

Everyone here knows that Olbermann’s statement is completely wrong and has been directly contradicted by SCOTUS.

However there are many people who watch CNN who don’t even know that we have a Bill of Rights. They never heard of it.

And they vote for Joe Biden because that’s what CNN told them to do.

Next CNN will say vote for Gavin Newsome so they will do that.

Never underestimate the stupidity of the “low information voter”.

Don’t forget Keith is a legal pedophile.

He dumps his girlfriends when they get to their 20s, always surfing the very line of legality.

Like people who do porn searches for “18 year old”. They are pedophiles.

Keith Olbermann, net worth: ~$25 million

Further evidence, as are the Kardashian sisters, that intelligence is not required to be wealthy.

If money were such evidence, all of the Kardashian sisters would be dozens of times smarter than Keith.

Sadly, they are.

Another reason why one warm body, one vote, is too much like ‘democracy’, which the founders avoided like the plague because of it’s built-in flaws.

There was practically an 80 year window where “Progressive” types ran both parties and the judiciary, not to mention the nation was largely homogenous in culture and religion and trust in government and institutions was near absolute.

They could have more or less banned firearms, or even possibly repealed the 2nd. But, they didn’t. Now? Today?? Fuggedaboutit. They really stepped in it.

What’s notable about the Bill of Rights is that they mostly all talk about what government can’t do. And the rights that are recognized are all about the individual - “the people”.

Olbermann was a sportscaster in the LA area.

He was an idiot then and an idiot now.

Early in his career, when he was the sports guy on a local LA station, he was actually pretty good. Why he went into politics and became a raving lunatic, I don’t know.

“If it isn't about private right, why is it in the Bill of Rights? That's a weird place to put something about forming a militia.”

That man believes the founding fathers - fresh from using private firearms to fight a tyrannical government - wrote a constitution to limit firearm ownership to the government.

Olbermann started out as a pretty decent sports commentator but went off the rails when he ventured into the insanity of leftist politics.
I recall listening to him one time ranting and raving about George W. and calling the Scooter Libby pardon the “gravest constitutional crisis” in American history. He was so livid that I feared he might burst a blood vessel. An unhinged person, poor man. Leftism is a serious mental disorder.

If it were truly one body one vote, rats would be outvoted and in the can.

That is why they must cheat, one (right minded) warm body=10,000 votes.
