Disturbing footage captured a female NYPD officer being clobbered with a bottle by a serial crime suspect as she and a colleague inspected a smoke shop
The clip, posted to the Twitter page NYC Scoop, showed the unnamed cop standing outside a deli in the Bronx just before 2pm on Monday, when out of nowhere the man came up behind her and started striking her and her partner.

Since cannabis legalization in 2021, the state has issued 66 licenses. Only two shops have opened, but there are thought to be 1,400 illegal stores in the city.
I'm very pro-weed, but the unregulated market in New York is out of control. I'm in Manhattan all the time and the entire city now smells like pot. You aren't permitted to drink on the street, why is pot treated differently?
These shops need to be closed (there's no telling what crap they're augmenting their products with) and restrictions on public use need to be enforced.

Just about the time the Congressional meeting in NYC ended yesterday.
And it seems that these criminals are becoming more brazen. They seem to have no fear of the police. They have no fear of consequences. They have no fear of punishment.
There was a local news show that spends a half-hour on local issues. The latest was the huge increase in crime among the “youth” - 13 to 18 years old.
The experts ringing their hands on how to fix it. Outlaw guns. Outlaw videos showing how to steal cars (Kia and Hyundai), etc.
They had a prosecutor on (a black woman - most of the kids are black) that said “The police catch and arrest them, we prosecute them, and usually they are released. And they get into trouble again and we do the same thing again. It is no mystery why youth crime has increased so much.”
I watch the “Live on Patrol” of the sheriff in St. Paul, MN and they responded to a call of a bunch of “teens” attacking a guy. Turns out the guy (a black teen) was out walking his dog and a large girl from the group jumped him and beat him and hurt his arm (but he wasn’t too bad).
The sheriff finds the group of kids and calls the large gal over (they know her name) so they can “talk”. The St. Paul police take over, turns out the girl has a warrant out on her.
The sheriff said unless the warrant is for something major, she probably won’t get arrested!
Did I see that correctly ... a black female cop attacked by a white man? What a change.

Jail is more orderly than the way they have been living. More meals, similar people, consistent expectations.

Why would anybody sign up to be a cop in NYC and (theoretically) have to protect all those democrats?
