Alec Baldwin has just won another scuffle with the Santa Fe District Attorney in the criminal case over the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in October 2021.
Less than two weeks before a New Mexico court hearing on a motion by the actor’s legal team to disqualify the special prosecutor, the special prosecutor herself suddenly has quit the high-profile case.

Baldwin was never going to get proper justice.
Since Baldwin is a member if the protected class (liberal), he will get away with murder (manslaughter).

Everybody knows movie stars are above the law. Baldwin and Juicy Fruit Smellit are proof of it.
In mine opinion, and this is only mine opinion, Alec Baldwin is a large aperture a$$hole, and I think he deserves whatever is coming from this criminal prosecution and any civil wrongful death actions stemming from this shooting.
I’m beginning to think that the DA’s office in New Mexico is incompetent. First, they charge Baldwin under a statute that did not take effect until after the shooting, which is patently dumb. Then they appoint a special prosecutor who is a current member of the New Mexico legislature, a clear violation of the state’s constitution.
The prosecutor seeking and winning public office is a conflict. She should have long ago resigned when she opted to seek office. Shame on her but as we see over and over again, politicans and wanna bes have limited ethics.
Alec Baldwin is an idiot, but I don’t see how the air-head actor is responsible for a gun that is supposed to have blanks.

Not a chance in hell was it the gun’s fault. Modern SA guns just don’t go bang without pulling the trigger.
The civil actions by the family have already been settled out of court. Non-disclosure terms, of course. Baldwin still seems to have plenty of money left.
Baldwin will skate on the criminal charges due to incompetent prosecution and questionable evidence handling. A first-year law student would not have made so many "mistakes". I wonder if the prosecutor took a dive.
Follow the money.
There was no reason for the gun to have ANY rounds in it. It was just a rehearsal. In fact, there is almost NEVER a reason to load blanks into a gun, or dummy rounds, unless firing the gun is critical - and then the gun should NEVER be pointed directly at someone.
