Agreed. I like Trump also.
I agree that Governor DeSantis is the best leader we currently have. And if divine providence still considers the USA worthy of protection, he will become our next President.
The enemies of each are the same people.
So all the BS the establishment of both parties pulled to hurt Trump worked with you? It didn’t with me, I want Trump back in more now than ever. If the establishment of both parties is frightened enough of him to do all they have done and continue to do to destroy him and anybody who supports him, he is my guy. The truth is that nobody would even know who Desantis is if Trump hadn’t gotten him elected. GW Bush was also a good Governor, he was also Ivy League educated, a former military officer and a good family man. How did that work out for everyone? Establishment republicans pretty much always suck when they get to DC, even if they are good at the state level.
Charlie seems to be wrong more often than not.
i’ve been all in for DeSantis since 2021. it’s not complicated. i just think he’s the better man, and the better conservative. but he’ll have to channel the wisdom of the great Ronald Reagan to harness the GOP, and be as selective as Elon Musk on who he brings in. so many stumbling blocks there.
he’s got to beat both the Trump and Establishment wings of the GOP.
however, if God is with him, anything’s possible—as it was with Trump in 2016. Hillary really would have been our death knell. four years Trump gave us a needed respite at least.
Here we go again.
Trump aficionados are quick with their input, gotta give them that.
Fine.
I like Trump and what he did during his presidency.
If Trump wins the GOP Nom, I'm on board and will support and vote (early) for the man.
That said, I like other candidates more for the upcoming election.
So do many others.
Of the more than a dozen or so Conservatives in my circle of friends and rels, not one (zero) wants Trump to run again (I know, he already announced) and a few say they will not vote for him even if he is the Nom.
I currently support DeSantis. I'm also looking at Pompeo. (Notice, I have no "bromance" with any candidate. I just want a Conservative who is most likely to win in the general.)
DeSantis and Pompeo both impress me as they both have good communication skills, they are strong but diplomatic (Reaganesque), and they clearly think before they speak or act.
I also think that Veterans make better presidents, as they have a good understanding of what our Military is really for, and what protection of classified information is all about.
And DeSantis and Pompeo are both more likely to criticize a Dem rather than a fellow GOPer. This is a major issue with me and so many GOPers.
If you like Trump, good on ya. He's my third choice at the moment, and the primaries will be interesting and instructive.
“They” - the left - does not want DeSantis. They are simply promoting him as a Trump alternative so that YOU will fight and hopefully destroy DeSantis.
The left wants a bitter Trump-DeSantis fight to split the Republican/conservative vote.
Trump can't win without DeSantis supporters and DeSantis can't win without Trump supporters. Trump can't see this and apparently his most ardent supporters can't either.
DeSantis probably does see this; I hope he does.
I hope so too. I’m not going to vote for somebody’s ego…that would be Trump…but for somebody’s program and his ability to accomplish it.
I think there are other candidates warming up in the wings, so maybe we’ll get some real substance in their pitches.
All false.
Having the full support of Lindsey Graham, Mitch McConnell, and Mitt Romney should be enough for anyone to reject the candidacy of any person they all support.
What's the name of that philosophy?
Ping
I’m going to wait and hear his explanations for a series of choices in DC that are globalist.
—> And DeSantis and Pompeo are both more likely to criticize a Dem rather than a fellow GOPer.
They both need criticism,
Rs and Ds are two butts on the same deep state a$$
Lock her up?
Make Mexico pay for the wall?
Those were his 2 main promises.
So you’re not supporting Trump after all?
When Trump sticks to the issues, he's awesome. He needs to do more than that.
The left is doing a good job of fooling the only-Trumpers.
