On the menu today: I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it appears someone is attacking the electrical power grid of the Seattle area, which comes after a series of similar incidents elsewhere in the Pacific Northwest as well as in Florida. And the FBI never caught the guy who attacked the electrical grid down in North Carolina earlier this month. Shooting up a power substation is apparently the latest fad.

Picture it: It’s Christmas, you’re about to prepare a big meal for the whole family, and the power goes out — all the lights, the refrigerator, your computer and cellphone charger, the works. That happened this year for a lot of families in the Seattle area, but it wasn’t wind, snow, or bad weather; someone shot up their local power substation.
The initial Pierce County Sheriff’s Department public statement was . . . curious:
Today at 05:26 am we received a call of a burglary to the Tacoma Public Utilities Substation at 22312 46th Ave E.
Deputies arrived on scene and saw there was forced entry into the fenced area. Nothing had been taken from the substation, but the suspect vandalized the equipment causing a power outage in the area.
Deputies were notified of a second burglary to the TPU substation at 8820 224th St E which also had forced entry with damage to the equipment. Nothing was taken from this site either.
At 11:25 we were notified by Puget Sound Energy that they too had a power outage this morning at 02:39 am. Deputies are currently on scene at this facility where the fenced area was broken into and the equipment vandalized.
At this time deputies are conducting the initial investigation. We do not have any suspects...

If I had to guess I would say this is green energy leftists protesting our current energy system, but I think that there will be an effort to pin this on conservatives. If anyone has an idea about what components would be targeted, PLEASE do not post it (the reasons should be obvious).

This country has seen nothing yet, especially during an international crisis. when these embedded terrorists are unleashed all over the country overnight, simultaneously.

Have the attacks only been a relatively recent phenomenon?
I am neither a rusophile nor rusophobe, but what is the one thing that has changed recently? We’ve had the war in Ukraine in the last year, including attacks both ways on their energy sectors.
But they seem rather ineffective so far at creating any massive outages, so Russian’s or whomever, they have failed.
In fact, if they keep failing, but stirring the pot, they may just become responsible for causing improvements to our grid.
FBI could never figure out who planted those explosives outside the two buildings in DC on January 6th. That was right under their noses. Even the Jan 6th panel was disinterested.
Funny that the FBI, this great investigative body can’t solve an issue like this.
The FBI is more of a “set up style” politically motivated agency rather than a cadillac of investigative prowess.
They are up to something and I am sure it will be a lie.

I’ve always believed Iran, ISIS, Al Qaeda, etc. have embedded terrorist squads all over the USA all waiting to unleash chaos across the country.
Not just up thru the Southern border, but people who have legitimately come into the USA over the years but have never left, leading normal lives until called up to carry out acts of terror.
A few hundred people scattered across the country who all at once started blowing things up including themselves, if necessary, would create a situation similar to 9/11 except it would be all over the country.
