The union contested that Boeing "rejected all proposals to a pension," is refusing to "adequately compensate our members’ 401(k)," and rejected multiple wage progression rate proposals.
Boeing offered a dollar-for-dollar match on 10% of base and incentive pay for each employee's 401(k), according to the company.
The facilities that will go on strike...produce various military aircraft, including the F-15, F-18 and the MQ-25 Stingray...

Doesn’t that mean that the IAM in Everett-Renton WA will have to strike as well?
Simple cure, fire the ingrates!
10% match on 401k not enough???
$4$ match for 10% of all earnings. Jeez, I would have retired 10 years earlier.
10% match on 401k not enough???

I read it as 100% (dollar for dollar) match on the employee’s contributions that can be up to 10% of the employee’s earnings (including incentive pay). SUPER generous and many will be envious.
I’d take that over 50% match of 6%, but the guvment contracting gig would have me “Falling Down” after about 5 years, so its a no from me, dog.
My kid is doing military contracting now but he’s still in the “Office Space” phase and hasn’t reach peak falling down, yet.
To work under Rainbow flag waving pink hair and nose ringed manage in my face and having to put my personal pronouns in my bio, 10% may not be enough.
The ghost of McDonald-Douglas.
What would Reagan have done? I wonder?

Many companies limit the match to 4 or 6%. 10% is a nice match.
Unions are a bane of modern society. They once had a place. Long ago.
No company producing any product of a National Security nature should be unionized. Organized Blackmail is what this is.
They give a company two choices; we will slowly bleed you to death or, we will kill your business much more quickly.
Hello Boeing, the South and freedom are calling you.
Unions did it to the U.S. automotive industry. Now they want to do it to aerospace!
“Boeing union workers vote to strike at 3 St. Louis-area manufacturing facilities that make US military jets”
Take that, Putin!!!
They did such a good job on the 737 Max. They deserve to be rewarded. /s
The military likely hasore of each of those aircraft than they need or want, but maybe are being forced by Congress to buy them.
This is exactly what happens with C-130 production. Way too many of them the military has a need for.
Unions never had a place in a free market. Communist bastards. It is time to destroy them all if we are ever to survive these leftist advances in every sector of society.
Pensions have killed GM and Ford. To survive they moved to non union states or other countries.
This is less about compensation than it is about the mismanagement and ridiculous woke policies being shoved down employee's throats, not to mention residual animosity over the whole Covid shot mandate debacle.
Get woke, go broke. I won't be shedding any tears over Boeing's problems; they're all self-inflicted.
