U.S. President Joe Biden has agreed to provide Ukraine with advanced rocket systems that can strike with precision at long-range Russian targets as part of a $700 million weapons package expected to be unveiled on Wednesday.

The United States is providing Ukraine with high mobility artillery rocket systems that can accurately hit targets as far away as 80 km (50 miles) after Ukraine gave "assurances" they will not use the missiles to strike inside Russia, senior administration officials said.

It doesn’t say what it was, but I think it is either M270 or M142.

Both have benefits.

M142 rocket pod is mounted on a truck so Ukrainians won’t have to deal with learning to drive or supply a tracked armored vehicle. Plenty of people who can drive or service a truck.

M270 might be better domestically as most of these are going to be retired anyway so sending these is just an “accounting loss”.

The war with Russia will be the demorats only chance. And, the plan is progressing nicely. Biden is enabling Ukraine to strike the Russian homeland. An act certain to yield a devastating response, possibly nuclear, from Putin. Zelensky is a the demorats pawn, still.

Yup!

Then they can drag out the argument, “You have to keep the president in office during times of war.”

“An act certain to yield a devastating response, possibly nuclear, from Putin.”

Until we give them longer range munitions, ones that can reach large Russian cities from Ukraine, the Neocons won’t get the nuclear war that they’re DEMANDING from Russia. Instead, Russia will simply LEVEL the rest of Ukraine with conventional weapons.

Bummer for the Neocons.

Keeping The Ukraine together at the risk of nuclear war is madness. Why was it called The Ukraine? Because Ukraine means borderland in Polish, Ukrainian and Russian.

The Ukraine's borders have shifted like sandbars over the centuries. The 1991 borders are the result of an historical accident with the collapse of the USSR.

Its borders are just as artificial and unsustainable as the borders of Yugoslavia, created in 1918, 4 years before Vladimir Lenin transferred the Russian Donbass to the Ukraine SSR, inside of the USSR.

This never mattered until 1991, and now we are risking Nuclear World War 3 over these insane bogus borders.

I was wondering, thanks. Did you hear that Ratheyon got a contract for $625M to resupply the Stinger Missiles we gave to Russia (via Ukraine). They’ll start deliveries in 2025. That will teach Putin!
