The Case For George P. Bush-IMHO

Posted on 05/23/2022 7:17:37 AM PDT by DIRTYSECRET

Incumbent Ken Paxton-8 years in office. Shouldn't he move on to something else? George P's a Trump supporter who went against the entire Bush klan without disowning them. Too many here see him as the family scapegoat. He's been a loyal republican who didn't support Hillary. The left calls us all haters and I can see an element of it here. He'd do well at the job and the case can be made for a change based on party health alone.

What's wrong with keeping the family in the big-tent? This is not the Tsars in the Russian Revolution. The GOP turned to W in 2000 after 8 years in the wilderness. We was a familiar name and was a winner. '43 was there for us and he stepped up to the plate. There just might come a time when we may need a George P. We take big hits from time to time. Most are self inflicted. The charismatic democrats come along with the gift of gab, steal our women, and then proceed to swing too far to the left with MSM support. We'll need to keep our options open.

“The left calls us all haters and I can see an element of it here.”

What the heck? Can you point to the wealth of good Pee Bush has done in his other roles?

Really, that's quite a statement you admit to, there, with no support.

Ken Paxton has shown himself to be a fighter, with the right fights, who is a real conservative who upholds the Constitution and the rule of law.

He should be rewarded for all his hard work.

George P. Bush has not done as well with his management of the Alamo.

Agreed

He tried to cover for Jeb! when Jeb! claimed to be Hispanic on his voter registration.

I don’t know much about George P. Bush. But in general, family dynasties are a bad thing. And the two Bushes did great harm to this country. W was particularly bad because of his bloody and unnecessary invasion of Iraq. So I vote “no” to any more of that clan.

In a way, it would be like one of Hillary’s cousins running for office. Maybe he (or she) is okay. But nope. I’d look elsewhere.

The only reason Bush Jr. bucked the family on Trump is because he has future political ambitions. He knows that he is the last of the Mohicans for the Bush dynasty.

Trump crushed the Bush, Clinton, and Cheney political families. Time to finish the job.

Lets pretend his name was Smedley Snodmocker and not Bush.

I would NEVER vote for Smedley for the top legal spot in the great State of Texas with his thin legal resume. He would have to spend years proving himself first in the legal profession before I would ever consider him.

Trump could not have won in 2000. The country was not in deep enough trouble and do you think the women prefer an honest ogre to BJ’s charm? In 2016 it didn’t matter.

Ron DeSantis is our crown prince. He’s Trump without the rough edges. Hopefully the country will be ready for him and he can seize the opportunity. Remember, everyone stood aside when W ran. I say give George P. his chance to show his conservative bonafides. No telling where the country will be in 10 years. A POTUS nominee just may be required to speak Spanish. The rats are working on it.

It's a very weak case, and not one worthy of consideration.

Get rid of the Bushes.

Hasn’t this family done enough damage? Wasn’t selling out to China on trade, appointing Souter & Roberts, starting the disastrous Iraq war enough?? If only Reagan had picked Paul Laxalt in 1980, this would be a better country.

I’m all for letting bygones be bygones. We are supposed to forgive our brother 70 times 7. But as a Calvinist, I say that is only after he apologizes.

So George P. is courageously not opposing his family, whose policy catastrophes have destroyed the country? Sorry, but breaking openly with the rest of the family is only the first step of what I’d consider a mild apology.

George, change your name and work 10 years in a position where you can prove your new credentials. Then we can talk.

Hello; please take this crackpot to your Big Tent and surrender your voter identification at the door. You aren't to be trusted.
