Yankees and Mets players are subject to New York City’s private employer vaccine mandate – meaning unvaccinated Yankees and Mets will not be able to play in home games – the mayor’s office confirmed to USA TODAY Sports on Tuesday.

Yankees star Aaron Judge brushed off a vaccination question at spring training in Florida Tuesday. “I’m just so focused on getting to the first game of spring training so I think we’ll cross that bridge whenever the time comes,” Judge told reporters. “But right now, so many things could change so I’m not really too worried about that right now.”

From NFL plays to college sports scores, all the top sports news you need to know every day. The Yankees said Tuesday that the team is "working with city hall and all other appropriate officials on this matter" while the Mets declined comment

Shane Warne would have a harsh word to say about these dodgers, but he’s presently indisposed for the rest of his life.

Pittsburgh has a major league park without a major league team. Maybe they could play some of their home games there.

The old time Yankees would have been disgusted by this. They were so drunk most of the time, no virus would have been able to take root.

Did not want to start a new thread so I will post this here.

It looks like the next Covid spike is starting.

Keep an eye on South Korea, Germany, Vietnam, France, Italy

Will probably start here in about 2 months.

This thing is not over and the dems will milk it just in time for mail in ballots for the midterms.

I've never seen a franchise hit the crapper as fast and stay down as long as Pittsburgh. They were feared in the 1960s & 70s. Good ownership could turn them around in a few years.

Im a Covid numbers nerd and, like many, have been tracking this thing using the Johns Hopkins and Worldometer sites from early on.

For background-I am not vaccinated, am against mask mandates...but whatever this thing is...even if the numbers are BS and overinflated, they seem to be on the increase again. cov

speaking of numbers...

biden proved the kung flu is a scam when he opened our southern border and spread over 2,000,000 nondocumented unvaccinated invaders across our country during a supposed “global pandemic” while the cdc and world health organization silently sit back and watch...

Oh my! Too, too bad. Do you suppose the Yankees will go yet another year without winning a world championship? Too bad, so sad!

I may just cry giant crocodile tears.

The Pirates were actually good into the 1990s and made it into post season play as recently as 2015. They have one of the nicest parks in MLB and a loyal fan base.

But even a loyal fan base will put up with only so much abuse. During the off-season they traded off one of their few solid position players, Catcher Jacob Stallings which could work out the same way the Andrew McCutcheon trade worked out. But the highest paid player on their team is now a has been catcher.

So it isn't only a fear of spending money, it is a propensity to spend it in all the wrong places.
