It is important to keep in mind that any mass-formation on one side is likely to increase anger and stress on the other, in a destructive feedback loop.
The buzz-phrase of the moment is “mass formation psychosis.”
You’ve likely heard of it by now. If not, good for you! That probably means you have normal, healthy interests and activities to fill your time, and you aren’t jacked-in 24/7 to the buzzing chaos of social and other media.
The term rocketed to everyone’s attention when the vaccinologist and disease-outbreak expert Dr. Robert Malone discussed it on a now-viral interview with podcast host Joe Rogan. The interview has been censored by most social-media outlets, but you can still watch it on Spotify. (There’s a war on, so these things are to be expected, I guess.)
Malone picked up the idea from Dr. Mattias Desmet, a professor of clinical psychology at the University of Ghent. Desmet gives a clear, concise explanation of the idea in another video interview (also featuring Malone). I encourage you to take the time to listen to his summary, which starts at about 16:50 in the linked video.

It’s important to keep in mind that the four conditions enumerated by Desmet are amply met throughout modern society, across political and ideological lines, and that as long as our various factions struggle to live together, any mass-formation on one side is likely to increase anger and stress on the other, in a destructive feedback loop.
The remarkable autodidact Eric Hoffer wrote eloquently and insightfully about what we are now calling “mass formation” in his 1954 book The True Believer. The book, which was an influential best-seller in its day, is not much remembered now, but his words are as apt today as they were when he wrote them:

There was not much fighting back in the Chinese Cultural Revolution genocide. But, this time some see what is being pushed so I am not so sure.

I have not heard about this website or the author before. Is this a leftist website????
No worries. The ‘ap’ and ‘rooters’ both said there is no evidence to this condition. You know where the “authorities” and mass media constantly put out lies and half truths in order to terrify the citizens into compliance causing, what I call, “coronaphobia”.
“No amount of evidence will ever persuade an idiot.” Mark Twain.
the only social anything that i inhabit is youtube.
i have a channel there that i started before 2009.
i tried instagrmm, but when they started censoring peoples’ pictures with firearrms, i left.
facebookk “oh look what i’m having for dinner!” nope!
It’s early, I’m posting a pic of my breakfast and the neighbors doggie taking a poop. I’ll post later on dinner. ..oh and a five year old meme :>)
No a conservative site with great contributors
“…we find a new freedom—freedom to hate, bully, lie, torture, murder and betray without shame and remorse.“
Who is “we” here? The post war American didn’t seem to me to want ANYTHING to do with any of that. The people stirring the pot when that author wrote that back in the 50’s are the same ones pushing this country to war or servitude.l today.
This effect is becoming more pronounced with jab supporters.
“When we renounce the self and become part of a compact whole, we not only renounce personal advantage but are also rid of personal responsibility. There is no telling to what extremes of cruelty and ruthlessness a man will go when he is freed from the fears, hesitations, doubts and the vague stirrings of decency that go with individual judgment. When we lose our individual independence in the corporateness of a mass movement, we find a new freedom—freedom to hate, bully, lie, torture, murder and betray without shame and remorse.”
This describes what I call liberalism also (from the article):
“Unity and self-sacrifice, of themselves, even when fostered by the most noble means, produce a facility for hating. Even when men league themselves mightily together to promote tolerance and peace on earth, they are likely to be violently intolerant toward those not of a like mind.
. . . There is also this: when we renounce the self and become part of a compact whole, we not only renounce personal advantage but are also rid of personal responsibility. There is no telling to what extremes of cruelty and ruthlessness a man will go when he is freed from the fears, hesitations, doubts and the vague stirrings of decency that go with individual judgment. When we lose our individual independence in the corporateness of a mass movement, we find a new freedom—freedom to hate, bully, lie, torture, murder and betray without shame and remorse.” ~Eric Hoffer, The True Believer
It’s conservative and has published noteworthy pieces by the late Angelo Codevilla as well as some by Michael Anton of “Flight 93 Election” fame and VDH as I recall.
I was pleased to see the author refer to Hoffer’s book, a remarkably insightful work.
Unless I missed something the author is warning conservatives not to fall into mass formation rather than presenting any specific examples.
One of the interesting things I have observed about this quote, is the portion after the words "...they do so with the approval of their own conscience..." is almost always left out. And I think that portion that is commonly left out is entirely as important as the first part that describes a "tyranny sincerely exercised".
In today's world, that "...'cured' against one's will..." ominously has more to it than just curing someone politically, ethically, or spiritually.
They mean it physically, too. And that has serious implications. We who are having this tyranny inflicted on us fully understand that granting a government that kind of power over you means you will allow them to do anything to you with any justification they deem valid. Which, given human nature, means anything that is politically expedient.
Up to and including loading unwilling people onto boxcars to be dealt with.
The Chinese Cultural Revolution came well after the country had already been thoroughly subjugated, with 10s of millions already killed. It was essentially a reinfusion, often by force, of the earlier brainwashing.
I trust your breakfast fare pleases your palate, wafts well through thy nostrils, makes thine eyes hungry, and thy throat thirst for your morning mug-full!
you can always bag up the young pup’s droppings to decorate some karen’ doorstep.
“Up to and including loading unwilling people onto boxcars to be dealt with.”
I agree. I do believe that we are in for a rougher ride than we thought back in Nov 20.
It appears they are making lists of the people who refuse the vax. That can’t be good.
I got the vax, but I am on the side of the people who didn’t and will stand up for them.
I hope very much that this is just political, and only looks worse than it really is.
Could be. I’m wrong all the time.
I have learned in my life that to know what Leftists have in mind, you only have to listen to them. They cannot help it. It is one of the reasons Project Veritas is so successful-they simply have to talk about what evil they do.
Much the same can be said about the Nazis-they were telling everyone what they had in mind, but people didn’t want to actually hear it.
It’s just them talking, that’s all...
