If flamingos didn’t exist, only a child’s fantasy drawing could imagine such a creature; a giant bright pink bird with stilt-like legs.

Lovely birds. I love flamingos a lot. Highly endangered. Read about one at a zoo in South America years ago believed to be 100 years old. It’s picture is my icon on another site.

Will become gift for my daughter’s birthday in May. She feeds lots of birds, has for decades. Her hummingbirds fly 5000 miles from Chile back to her yard in North Idaho every year. Same birds, but with children.

In the other yard, regular bird feeders. She caught a big buck deer out there eating the seeds, let the dogs out to bark it away.

The pictures are surreal. I will never see those birds in real life as they look in their pictures.

I other “bird news” a sea eagle was recently spotted up in Maine.
Apparently, they are pretty rare in North America.
