T he number of daily Covid-19 cases recorded in the UK hit a new record high on Thursday with 88,376 reported new infections.
The tally is nearly 10,000 higher than the previous record of 78,610 set on Wednesday and comes after health authorities estimated the Omicron variant R (reproduction) rate was currently between three and five.

Based on the early numbers it actually appears omicron is a blessing if it grants natural immunity to other variants known and unknown.
Just saying..... omicron appears very mild

Yep, that’s normally the natural progression for respiratory viruses. With any luck this coronavirus will join all the other coronaviruses as a “common cold” within a year thanks to the mild variant.
Of course I expect people on the left will try to keep the hysteria going as long as they can anyway.
They are not known for original ideas. They changed an election for this virus and got rid of Trump. Many of their biggest donors benefited greatly with the crushing of small business.
They are now facing an apocalyptic mid-term election based on polling.
Little doubt they are going to push it again in 2022 for the mid-terms.
That would be more healthy ;)
