I have no doubt he was looking for things to loot but should of called the police. They messed up royally by going after him like they did.

American system of trial by jury still working well. I believe this jury and Kyle’s jury came to the right and just conclusions. JMHO
The difference in quality of lawyers between this and the Rittenhouse case is striking:
Rittenhouse case: incompetent prosecution, defense just enough better to win.
Arbery case: competent prosecution, pretty bad defense counsel.
Of course the facts were a lot different, and good facts make for good cases (for one side).

I agree with you. This guy was no innocent “jogger”, and I understand going out to detain him. However, this got out of hand and did not meet requirements for self defense. You will find many here that will disagree with you.
Unfortunately no death penalty. They hopefully get life without parole.
He missed his golden hour to flee and get out of the country. Shoulda had a go-bag.
I did not see or hear very many people defending the actions.
They had a right to be armed. They had a right to keep an eye on him (like Zimmerman) awaiting the police. They went much further and ultimately acted beyond the scope of their rights and violated his.
Martin assaulted Zimmerman who was NOT trying to detain him.
Big difference and the jury spoke. The media will continue to speak on the spin cycle but absent their narrative how would the facts of this case have been any different along racial lines? It would not although it would have received 1/100th of the media attention.
I trust the jury who heard far more facts than we did.
