Former Obama administration Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said Wednesday on MSNBC’s “All In” that Americans who have not received a coronavirus vaccine are like “secondhand smoke” in that they can make people sick.
Sebelius said, “I think what President Biden has done is balance between what the science says and trying to cajole, encourage, make it easy for people to follow the science.

She added, “It’s a lot like secondhand smoke. You have a right to be a smoker. The science is very clear what smoking will do to you, what cancer will be caused, what kinds of health conditions. You have a right to be a smoker. You don’t have a right to smoke next to my desk, to blow smoke on people, on my children, to force me to live in a housing facility where I am subjected to more smoke. That is a line that we have in this country, which delineates what your individual rights are. I think we’re looking at very much the same situation. OSHA, you’re absolutely right, has always provided guidance and mandates about safety in a workplace. This is not a safe workplace if I’m working with a person that may make me and my family sick. That’s not acceptable.”

A neighbor came over yesterday who has a mild case of COVID. He put on a mask, but I told him why are you bothering? I have zero doubt I’ve been next to countless people in store who have it, or carry it, that didn’t know.
WHich would save more lives? A-smoking made illegal or B-The vaccine mandates... If you say A— which is obviously the correct answer, the question is, if the vaccine mandates are not about health of the country.. then what are they about? That is my red pill question. By the way, I am against making cigarettes illegal too.
I can refrain from smoking, it does not require me to inject a substance with possible serious side effects.

Leftists are not very good at analogies. This one doesn’t work on a lot of levels. For starters, smoking is an activity. Not getting vaccinated is not an activity. But there are plenty of others that I leave to others here too bring to the table.
Umm, are you talking about a vaccinated person, Ms. Sebelius? Because it has already been established that he, too, can make you and your family sick.

Ms Sebelius, are you vaccinated? If you are then what are you worried about, regarding a person who is not vaccinated? Oh, I see, even though you are vaccinated, you can still get infected. Well if you can still get infected, then you could still infect someone else, even though you are vaccinated, right? Yes, that is right. So then you are no better than someone who is not vaccinated, right? Right. Apparently these vaccines are not preventing reinfection nor preventing someone who is vaccinated from becoming infected and possibly infecting others.
It would be better to only be vaccinating the most vulnerable, and let natural herd immunity develop from the infections of 97% of the population for whom an infection will not be fatal.
