A woman marries a man when she trusts him and expects to have a lifelong relationship with him (and vice versa). If a woman has not reached a level of trust and commitment with a man to make him her husband, she should also not roam around the country with him. When a young woman is murdered, it is often because she is leaving a boyfriend. She is especially at risk if she is far away from family and friends.
What I have written would have been considered common sense 60 years ago but is now attached as judgmental or victim-blaming. Well, I will give my daughter the same advice, to which she can listen or not, as an adult.

Pretty sure karpov’s point is that they were shacking up. 20-30 years ago that was looked down upon and people were shamed. Now no one cares and I think that is the problem.
It’s a slow burn for these freaks to get control of their minds but once they do, it is over because all logic goes out the window. Our daughter is MARRIED to a psychopath. In fact, he looks like, acts like this Laundrie guy. His parents could be clones of this killers. Our daughter has told us some of his actions that are terrifying and she always downplays them, even makes excuses, like they are normal. We have tried everything under the sun. The more involved we get the more she has pulled away from us.

That’s all we can do is hope and pray. Her life and two kids lives have been destroyed. The mind games he plays are like military style psych ops. He asked for a “divorce” in February, she agreed and he is still living in their home, refusing to leave. Even convinced her to move a mattress and herself to the basement, which is the least of his sick control. He works for a states treasury department and an IT expert. If she doesn’t answer the phone (he will try to call like thirty times in just minutes) when he is at work, he has somehow wired the WIFI so that music starts blaring all over the house. He has hacked into all her emails, texts and tells her she can run from him and try to hide but it won’t work.
Sorry to go on but this Gabby thing has just disturbed us so much because of what we see happening to our daughter. She was a strong, smart person and now she is so perversely weak that we don’t recognize her.
Agreed but to many women are just lemmings and blindly follow strong personalities.
If you’re playing the odds, you’d note that it occurs at a much lower rate.

There's toxic relationships that might NOT be toxic with a different partner. It can be a bad mix or one of the people can be worthless or even evil...
He was evil - so in that case it doesn't matter but in many situations lovers can bring out the worst or the best in each other. If either party's bringing out the worst - violence - end it.
No need to figure out 'who's at faul' - - - just end the relationship.
