BERLIN, CT (WFSB) - The woman at the center of a viral video accusing a Navy sailor of wearing a fake uniform was arrested. She turned herself in on Thursday.

Channel 3 also learned on Friday that Desjardins worked for CVS Health.

Berlin police on Friday identified the suspect as 45-year-old Lori Desjardins of Southington.

"This individual is no longer employed by the company," said Joe Goode, senior director, corporate communications for CVS Health.

Police said they served Desjardins an active arrest warrant that charged her with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

She was released on a $10,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in court in New Britain on Sept. 23.

In the video that went viral on social media, Desjardins was seen at the Central Pizza restaurant in Berlin on Saturday night yelling at U.S. Navy sailor Sean Nolte Jr.

Nolte identified himself on social media as being the man in the video. The Naval Submarine base in Groton also confirmed to Channel 3 that he is a student at the submarine school.

Nolte wrote on social media that the woman, now identified as Desjardins, didn't believe his uniform as real and called him a disgrace to the USA. She was seen in the video hitting him with an open hand.

The owner of Central Pizza, Jason Bikaksi, said it happened quickly. "It finished so fast — like lightening."

Alcohol just has to have been involved...

She looks like a good casting choice to play the crazy ex-wife in a movie.

Desjardin allegedly told police she was not in the right state of mind when the incident occurred...

I think pretty much everyone involved had that one figured out. It's still assault and battery.

I wonder what set her off. Maybe she’s a vet herself. Or maybe she knew someone who died while in the service. Or maybe she’s just a mean drunk.

The uniform doesn’t look like what we are used to seeing on a sailor.

Covid rage is becoming a real thing.

I heard from an old friend a couple of months back who had an encounter with a raging Karen in his ER...this gal actually had her own IR thermometer gizmo that she would pull from her purse and aim at peoples head to see if they had a fever and were going to give her the coof...lol

What she did was ridiculous and shameful, but this is just a reminder how much standards have changed in 2021.
Now, if you have an episode as a mean drunk, somebody films and uploads it, you can be fired without warning.
It wasn’t always so cut and dried.

If used to be; when an employee’s behavior directly effects their employer, first offense, the employee gets a verbal warning, second offense, the employee is written up, offered retraining and is put on probation. Third offense, 3 strikes, you’re out.
In the past as a Shift Manager, I’ve had to fire people myself. That was like 10 years ago.

Now, it seems that no one gets a second chance any more.
I’m glad to be semi-retired. I rarely got into any trouble, but still, the difference of methods is striking.

This has got to be the worst written piece of "journalism" I've read in quite some time.

Lori Desjardins, 45, was arrested Thursday for assaulting a member of the U.S. Navy at a 20-year-old pizzeria in Connecticut for the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

The pizzeria wasn't 20 years old, but as we will learn later in the story, the sailor was.

A video of the incident went viral on social media, showing Desjardin’s yelling and cursing at Sean Nolte Jr., a submarine in the Navy. At one point, she tells him that he hates her and calls him a “piece of s ** t” before hitting him and accusing him of imitating a service member.

"[S]he tells him that he hates her..." That probably should read "she tells him that she hates him..."

Also, we establish that the sailor, Sean Nolte, is a male.

Lori Desjardins, 45, was arrested Thursday for assaulting a sailor’s sailor on his 20th birthday on September 11th. Desjardins was also fired from his job after the arrest.

"A sailor's sailor"? We'll let that slide. But as we now learn, the sailor was celebrating his 20th birthday at the pizzeria, not that the pizzeria was 20 years old.

She was supposed to “constantly stare” at him and walked in and out of the restaurant several times. After getting her food, she told the staff that Nolte, who was wearing her uniform, is a “fake” and that her husband is in the army.

"She was supposed to 'constantly stare' at him..." So, she was told to stare? I think that should have read "She supposedly 'constantly stared' at him..."

"She told the staff that Nolte, who was wearing her uniform,..."

So now Nolte was wearing Lori Desjardins' uniform? No, I think that should have read "...who was wearing his uniform...

I think the author of this story, adminj99, needs to subscribe to Grammerly.

You missed my favorite part: Desjardin’s yelling and cursing at Sean Nolte Jr., a submarine in the Navy.

Guy's 20 years old and already has a submarine named after him, that this woman is yelling at?

Although your general point is more than aptly proven in your post, these are the dumbest college degree holders (not that it makes you any smarter than a tradesman or entrepreneur) in America. And so many of us rely on them for our information...
