Two toddlers were attacked by a coyote in separate incidents in Arlington, officials say.
The first attack was reported at about 5:40 p.m. Sunday when a 2-year-old girl in her Epping Street yard was approached, bitten on the back and dragged by a coyote.
About 10 minutes later another 2-year-old female was approached by the coyote in her yard in Summer Hill Circle and scratched.
Both children were taken to an area hospital for evaluation. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Arlington is about 7 miles northwest of Boston.
Officials believe that the same coyote was involved in both incidents. They are now trying to locate the coyote.
Last month a 5-year-old boy was playing in a sandbox on Cutler Hill Road in Arlington when he was bitten by a coyote.

I want to get the joke about how this seems like something that would happen in Somerville, but I don’t. I will say if there was a world championship for ‘wokeness’ then Arlington, Cambridge, and Somerville would all be strong competitors.
I am driving for a living now and I am in these towns all the time and it is so damn depressing.
The coyote’s are getting bolder in my neighborhood. I came face to face with one in my local park on my early morning walk. He was not scared of me at all. He just watched me go by within 25ft and he hardy moved at all. He was still watching me as I left the park.

If the same coyote was involved in two separate attacks, I’d suspect rabies.

I think you would be safe to presume any coyote you see during daylight is rabid.

They do love their criminals in MA. I’m sure the entire legislature is made up of them. It’s already a given that senior bureaucrats are criminal personalities. When a criminal takes over an area he gets rid of all the decent people and replaces them with criminals. Hence, The Joint Chiefs of Staff, The FIB, the White House currently, Big Tech, Pharma, etc etc.
