More the sort of thing you'd expect to see happening in Somerville.

Coyotes are why .223 was invented. Problem solved.

The coyote’s are getting bolder in my neighborhood. I came face to face with one in my local park on my early morning walk. He was not scared of me at all. He just watched me go by within 25ft and he hardy moved at all. He was still watching me as I left the park.

If the same coyote was involved in two separate attacks, I’d suspect rabies.

Gun control kills coyote control. Good luck keeping a knife on you in some places in MA. Two inch blade limit. Gotta get pretty stabby to kill a coyote.

These damn things have shown up over the years out on Long Island. I wonder how they manage getting through all that traffic on the LIE.

Massachusetts has pretty strict gun control laws. Too bad someone just didn’t draw down and pop the thing. All they can do in MASS is dial 911 and die.Only the criminals have guns, ask a criminal to save your cild. They respond faster than the under budgeted police.

The Eastern coyotes have bred with the wolves and are more wolf-like, unlike the scrawny fleabags we have out West

When we vacationed on the Cape with young children many years ago we were warned about the coyotes. That was 20 years ago.

In New England, it is more likely a Coywolf than a Coyote.

Coyotes in the Northeast have a lot of wolf DNA and frequently are quite large, such as the size of a large German Shepherd

Had one in our backyard in S. Arlington — Virginia ... 1 mi from from the nearest woods. It leapt our 7ft fence like it could fly. Amazing — and unnerving for the wife who spotted him: german-shepherd size w/ light gray clumps of an otherwise mangy coat.

Thankfully, our dogs weren’t out at the time, but my neighbor’s yorkies were — and freaking out. Dunno why it left them alone, but thankfully it did. It was real quick from her yard and through ours, leaping the fences, so it wasn’t happy about where it was.
