Laci Peterson, 27, was eight months pregnant with their unborn son, Connor, when she was killed.
Massullo must decide if Nice committed “prejudicial misconduct” by failing to disclose that she had sought a restraining order in 2000 for fear that her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend could harm Nice’s own unborn child.
Peterson’s attorneys revealed in a June court filing that Nice also failed to disclose that her boyfriend beat her in 2001 while she was pregnant with another child.
As a perspective juror, Nice had answered “no” when she was asked if she had ever been involved in a lawsuit or been a crime victim.
Nice said in a court filing that she didn’t think the restraining order was a lawsuit, nor did she “feel ‘victimized’ the way the law might define that term.”

Great group of people...
The slime ball wants to be free
If he had just sought a divorce, things would’ve been difficult, complicated, but he would have an 18yo son today, perhaps other children with another woman or several other women, given his proclivities.
I live in Nor Cal and followed this on local news from the start. Peterson told the Modesto PD he’d been fishing at Emeryville on day one. They decided that he lied and that he killed Laci. So they searched Comanche Reservoir, dragged irrigation canals, dug up freshly tilled holes, etc. And each time they’d triumphantly get in front of the cameras saying, “AH HAH!!!”
It got old and the MPD looked stupid.
Then they piled on with ‘evidence’ such as arguing Peterson’s boat wouldn’t work on the SF Bay, that they KNEW he had been in the foothills, and etc.
When the two bodies washed ashore in Emeryville the MPD narrative changed like they had ALWAYS known the bodies would be found in Emeryville.
After that the insanity increased and all sorts of mundane things became PROOF!!! of murder.
They ruined the case by running it like a witch hunt.
If he did it then why had he been 100% honest with the MPD about where he had been? That’s not how killers typically operate.
The guy was a POS husband, for sure, but I’ve never been convinced he killed his wife. I was also put off by the circus of screaming women demanding a guilty verdict and a death penalty.
Whatever it was, the arrest, prosecution, and trial were a gross injustice not just to Peterson, but to everyone who wants a fair trial based on facts and not an ever shifting web of BS that can’t be pinned down.
The juror was stupid.
Unless there’s a DNA match to someone else, Scott stays in prison. Juror faults will be set aside:
I just read an article about Peterson’s sister in law who believes Laci was murdered by the thieves who robbed the house across the street the day she disappeared. She believes Lace encountered them while walking the dog.
Trial by media.
At least the death penalty for Peterson got tossed. That was a good sign.
Two words
Amber Frey
Yes. There was a documentary about two possibly illegals with a string of robberies and they were not investigated. The robbery was occurring as Lacey was walking the dog nearby.
I too had swallowed al of the media soap opera hype with Scott Peterson and that Amber Frye girl, but if you dig deeper, you see clearly Amber is an opportunist and although a really flawed man and slime ball husband, the evidence just does not support Scott Oeterson being the real murderer.
I agree. Still, so much of the ‘evidence’ consisted of normal things like concrete anchors, hair transfers, buying a car to replace seized cars, buying other things to replace other seized things, etc.
The trial itself was a circus and should have been held somewhere else.
No direct evidence but a ton of circumstantial evidence.
Explain the constant smirk on his face.
That’s about all we get these days.
Derek Chauvin being a prime example.
I don’t know if he directly caused the death of George Floyd, but the media claimed THEY did from Day One, and a “not guilty” verdict was simply not to be allowed.
From Wiki:
“A single hair was the only piece of forensic evidence that was identified. The hair, matched through DNA comparison to hair from Laci’s hairbrush, was stuck to pliers found on Peterson’s boat.”
A single hair on a pair of pliers that can easily be attributed to transfer from Peterson’s clothing. No blood, no other signs of Laci. Just one hair.
My wife has never been to my office but plenty of her hair has shown up there over the years. Is that evidence of murder? Or is it just what happens when two people live together?
The rest of the case is built upon Peterson being a crappy husband who didn’t mourn his wife the way the police thought he should.
I would never want that POS in my house and I remain open to the possibility that he did indeed kill Laci. However, there is no evidence that he did. None. Nada. Bupkus.
“Explain the constant smirk on his face.”
That’s what the guy looks like.

Yes, no direct evidence. Tons of circumstantial evidence.
Either he killed her or is the victim of the greatest set of coincidences in the recorded history of the world.
