TORBA: Kushner Wouldn’t Allow Trump on Gab Unless He Banned Criticism of Israel
National File ^ | June 8 | by JACK HADFIELD

Andrew Torba revealed that Jared Kushner would not allow President Trump onto Gab unless the free speech platform banned criticism of Jewish people and Israel.

Torba, the CEO of Gab, spoke to Lauren Witzke of TruNews on Tuesday, and discussed his attempts to bring President Trump onto his free speech social network after he was “totally nuked from the entire mainstream internet” in January this year. “All I wanted to do was to give him his voice back, because there’s a hundred million people or more that want to hear what he has to say,” Torba told Witzke, but as previously reported, said that Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, and his “cronies” were the ones that blocked access to Gab.

Torba said Kushner and his cronies tried to get Torba to “sell out” and “compromise on Gab’s free speech policies,” suggesting that Gab “clean up [their] image,” before President Trump was allowed on. Witzke queried Torba into exactly what people Kushner wanted banned, and Torba revealed that he “specifically had problems with people criticizing Jewish people and Zionism and policies related to Israel”:

“That’s specifically what I was told, in that you have to do something about these people. He called them Jew-haters, I call them Jew-criticizers,” said Torba

Always thought Kushner had too much influence which explained some of the weird endorsements and appointments. I think they all went through him and Mitch McConnell.

As best I can tell, Jared Kushner would have no role in a DeSantis White House.

Just sayin’.

So one of the most powerful men in the world is gonna be ‘forbbiden’ to go on social media because his son-in-law forbids him to? Yeah ok, sure

No torba, the vile anti-semetic crap on your site was flat out jew hatred, not criticism!

Most of us have walked along and suddenly come upon a snake. It causes a shock. That is the shock I get whenever I unexpectedly see Kushner on TV.

Not that I like Kushner or his crazy religious beliefs, I am going to go out on a limb and say Kushner has a point. There are some leftist Neo-NAZI groups that pose as alt-right and really push their Jewish / Khazar world domination bile. They are exactly what our mockingbird media would love to smear conservatives with.

Never have been able to trust Jared and his wife. I think, if this is true, he had way too much influence over what POTUS could/could not do. Sounds like a very controlling person.

I doubt trump does whatever his dorky son in law says. Though he probably does listen to his advice and since gab has some bad press attached to it maybe Trump just doesn’t want to have to deal with it. Only “free speech” platform you’re going to have people who post offensive stuff...that’s the point of free speech

On some of the “free speech” platforms trolls accumulate who delight in posting frankly anti-semitic stuff which are intended to muddy up the site. Some of the videos I want to refer to or share with others, I can’t, just because of the truly vile comments below. No conservative I know thinks like that, or talks like that, so I assume these to be leftist trolls whose purpose is clearly to dirty the place up.

That kind of anti-semitism goes far beyond simple “criticism” of Jews and Israel, and the only people I have seen engage in it in sincerity are on the left.

Jim has never allowed that kind of thing here, which is why you don’t see it here.

I realize that lots of folks here don’t like or trust Kushner, but I’d still keep my powder dry on this one...

I agree they should not allow it to cross a line into “hate” and perhaps listen to user complaints and deal with it.

Only used it once or twice and it was really slow and unusable.

Parler is more to Trump’s liking I would have thought. I wonder why he never joined..

Free speech includes speech you disagree with. Why do so many people on both the left and right not understand this?

Maybe Kushner didn’t want Trump to go on because Gab is crap. Damn thing is timing out or you can’t access it.

Yep.. Very true. It was unusable when I tried it

I’ve kind of quit Parler too. The only other political type site I visit now is patriots.win which used to be thedonald.win.

PGalt referred me there a few months ago. I’m the same handle as here!

No government, nation, race, religion, institution, or person is flawless. While I am generally supportive of Israel, I dislike very much the extreme degree to which numerous pro Israel organizations and people go to censoring any criticism of the country and its people. After all, Israel did attack the USS Liberty, it constantly spies on the United States government (Jonathan Pollard is a prime example) and US corporations, and it collaborates with China, often to the detriment of US interests.

I frequently see reasoned and legitimate criticisms of Israeli policies condemned as antisemitic. I tire of this reflexive attempt to squelch criticism just as I disdain the constant cries of racism anytime a conservative disagrees with leftist policies in the US.

A free republic dies when liberty is restricted by government and institutions. Those you cannot criticize, control you. If Kushner did what this article purports, he is no supporter of freedom for the individual.

the biggest problem we have with President Trump, is breaking up the the circle of bad/enemy gope advisers/lawyers/family he’s been influenced by since the 2nd year or so of his presidency. he would still be President without those advisors, imo.

somehow, someone from our side has got to get into that inner circle. right now, it’s painfully clear that we have no policy access to the President, and yes he is still the President.

He relied on McConnell a lot but no more after what happened.

I notice the endorsements are getting better anyway.

Kushner was on the phone daily with his father and Rupert Murdoch all through Trump’s admin.

Sure appears as if Jared was his FIL’s “handler”.
