Greg Gutfeld: Will blue state exodus bring bad ideas to red states?
Foxnews.com ^ | May 26, 2021 | Greg Gutfield

As we report on the crisis at the border, we've overlooked a crisis between our borders. .......

God, if I was any dumber I’d be Nicole Wallace. So, it's the cause and effect that comes from being over-taxed, under-protected, and treated like crap. It’s like you’re permanently living on a Delta flight.

As David Keltz in the American Spectator reports: California, New York, New Jersey, Michigan and Illinois -- all states in the union, Kat -- lost a combined 4 million residents. And that's not even including gun or COVID victims. They're losing people quicker than CNN's primetime.

Meanwhile, Republican-led states like Florida, Texas, Tennessee, Ohio and Arizona saw large increases. That's from the U.S. Census Bureau, which is likely underestimating the shift, since who fills out a census form when they're in the ER with a knife wound, sitting next to the guy who knifed you.

Funny article but doesn’t mention the number of Leftists in this migration from Blue to Red states.

Maybe it’s more Conservatives that are moving to Red ?

The good news is that a lot of the people leaving blue states are the conservatives that are tired of living in a blue state. That’s why I left Seattle for Kentucky a decade ago.

Of course it will. If the people leaving those states didn’t figure out that voting for the wrong people and policies was the problem, they will continue to vote that way wherever they go.

Problem is, liberals are infesting red states.... Cali fungus is close to turning Texas blue... these people move out of blue hellholes because they don't like the taxes they're paying, then push to institute the same policies that turned their original states into the shape they're in now.

That’s what happened to NH, VT, and ME.

All the flatlanders and hippies moving up here have transformed us from solid Republican to squishy democrat.

It has to be the height of stupidity to leave a blue state because you don’t like the leftist policies, and then move to a red or purple state and vote for the same kinds of politicians who caused you to leave the blue state.

Dumb.

I was cured of blue bad ideas by living under them in New York City. I loved the life in Giuliani’s NYC, but hated the blue politics. I hated Florida, but loved the red politics. Officially, I reside in Georgia, though that’s by absentee ballot. But I do love Georgia, politics, people and all.

“Greg Gutfeld: Will blue state exodus bring bad ideas to red states?”

Of course. Just look at Austin, Texas. Huge influx of people fleeing California and then turning Austin blue and now look at it’s problem.

My wife and I moved to Newcastle Oklahoma 3 months ago from Oregon. Have met several other recent expats here from blue states. They are all conservatives fleeing the tyranny. BTW, it doesn't get redder than OK. Governor Stitt is awesome.

You would hope, but no. Blues are leaving Blue States in droves for the Red States of Texas and Florida (Kalifornians moving to Texas, New Englanders moving to Florida, for the most part) and bringing their Liberal politics and Democrat voting habits with them.

The irony is completely lost on them that they're fleeing a bad economy, high cost of living, and high taxes for a better place, then want to vote in all of the crap they just left.

The answer is yes. I used to live in the “Live Free or Die” state, New Hampshire. The Massholes moved north to escape ridiculous taxes and now we have Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan in the US Senate. I retired and moved to Florida.

Hate to break it to you, but Austin has been Blue for 40 years or more. Ann Richards, Jim Hightower, PBS's Austin City Limits program, heck, even the LBJ Ranch is near Austin.

Leftists blame others for their problems. They do not improve nor learn. When they do they become conservatives

That’s all.

So, yes, of course they will bring leftist politics to red states.

Look to Virginia to see the future of formerly Republican states.

Liberal migration is destroying the country like the “great migration” from the South and open border parasites at the Southern border currently. It is all about demographics and culture. I hope and wish this migration doesn’t destroy what’s left of so called red states but hope and wishful thinking are worthless.

Thanks to the 17th Amendment, the cites are becoming the sole voices of their states. Population centers are over-represented in government and vast rural areas have little voice because their Senators are now chosen, bought, and paid for by urban elites on the coasts. Relocation is not likely to change this situation much.

I'm praying that's true... We all need to make a point of telling liberals that we don't want them in our states. Billboards at State borders might help - signs around airports... We don't want liberal trash destroying our states the way they destroyed California, New York, Illinois, etc...

IDEAS HAVE CONSEQUENCES.

IF YOU LIKE LIBERAL IDEAS STAY IN YOUR LIBERAL HELLHOLE... DON'T MOVE TO FLORIDA OR TEXAS. Don't destroy OUR States like you destroyed yours...
