Teen Vogue's new editor Alexi McCammond has resigned less than two weeks after taking the job over anti-Asian tweets she wrote as a teenager which surfaced online and cost Conde Nast a seven-figure ad campaign.
McCammond's resurfaced tweets include one in which she wrote: 'Googling how to not wake up with swollen Asian eyes'.
Another now-deleted tweet read: 'Give me a 2/10 on my chem problem, cross out all of my work and don't explain what I did wrong… thanks a lot stupid Asian T.A. you're great.'

That applies as much to the right as the left. At the moment, we are worse. Virtually no conservative can pass the "purity test" applied by many here. The "big tent" has become a "pup tent". One errant comment and the tent is empty.
First story I see on her lists her as “Former Axios reporter Alexi McCammond”.
If you go back in time 200 years ago or so, the attitude was sort of: “You’re 8-years old now. Basically an adult. Time for you to go to work. Sally, you can work in the mills — try not to lose an arm in the machines. Billy, off to the coal mines with you. Those little tunnels they’ll have you working in, well, they don’t collapse too often, but try to be careful. Right. I look forward to the money you’ll be bringing into the family.”
Today, it’s not about the labor and earning. But it’s like: “You’re 8-years old now. Basically an adult. If you say or do anything stupid, it will haunt you for the rest of your life. Many is the kid who mumbled something stupid on the playground when they were 9. Ruined their career. Who wants to hire an engineer or a geologist who called one of their friends a fag when they were 9-years old? Nobody! That’s the sort of mistake that can leave you homeless for the rest of your life! So be careful out there! You’re 8! You should know better!”
In a normal world that would be the right thing to do but this lady would be the first person to call for your head if you stepped out of the woke line. Serves her right.

Unfortunately that is true. If we are ever to take back the Republic, we must keep in mind what Ronald Reagan said:
“The person who agrees with you 80 percent of the time is a friend and an ally - not a 20 percent traitor.“

FWIW, I can say insulting things to other ethnic groups because I live in the South.
We Southerners keep our refrigerators on the front porch so flies don't get in the house when we go for a beer.
Because we openly invite insults, we feel free to hand them out to others.

Tell me about it. The two Republicans running for the Senate in Georgia weren’t ‘pure enough’ for many here, and 500,000 (total) in Georgia, so those voters stayed home, and now legal ownership of guns is in its last days.
