Obviously written when she was in college. I have a strong feeling this was a class she should not have enrolled in. It is one thing to expect some correction comments when a small number of answers are wrong but not when there are that many. She expected hand holding and “atta girl” she got “Kindergarten is over.”
Not just the left. Dehumanizing is an important part of war. Killing your fellow human being is difficult for the vast majority of people. Make them a monster and killing them is easy. Look at how we dehumanized the Germans, Japanese, Vietnamese, Arabs, etc. It works for genocide too, and plenty of leftists wouldn’t blink when killing conservative white men, as we are now being dehumanized the same way.
And note how Hollywood and the media are playing the same role in dehumanizing “us” as they did in dehumanizing all of our enemies since WW2...

By “here” I mean FR, but it is certainly a larger movement than just here. Agree that Trump is trying to build a yuuge tent, but there are many poisoning the well and undermining his effort under the guise of conservatism. I think a significant part of that effort is coming from the left, trying to pit conservatives against each other, and many are taking the bait.

I struggled with that a bit. I respect your point of view. But I still don’t see her comment as racist. Insensitive, yes. But not racist. It’s no different than someone saying after a variety show, “That white comedian wasn’t very funny.” I don’t see that as a racist statement. I draw the line when a statement is a slur, or if it maligns an entire group. As in, “White comedians aren’t very funny.”
As someone who was a TA for a number of years in grad s hook, the way she said it was racist.
There was no reason to say “stupid Asian TA” as opposed to just “stupid TA”.
Same if they were writing stupid black TA or stupid white TA.
Having said that, the problem is racist comments are considered life sentence stuff. It was a casually racist comment that shows an added extra dislike of the TA based on race but in my mind, so what? She’s a racist creep. End of story.
But for these leftist cancel people I say ha ha and laugh at the irony.
