“Great. Bachman is a great highly knowledgeable music theory and other-wise great artist!”
When I was driving long haul I would sometimes pick up a load of sweet potatoes in Idaho and take them to a plant in northern Maine. So close to the Canadian border you could just about throw a rock across.
Could only get one station on the radio, a Canadian station. Late at night they had a show with Randy Bachman basically teaching guitar playing.
One night his show consisted of demonstrating the different sounds you could get from each.
He played the same chords or riffs on a telecaster, a Stratocaster and another big body guitar with a lower, mellowed sound.
One hour of listening to Bachman play each guitar and showing what could be done with each and what shouldn’t be tried with each. I was simply amazed at his depth of knowledge.

My vote is for “Hair of the Dog” by Nazareth, although I do like the rattling cowbell in Hugh Masakela’s “Grazing In the Grass”

Never noticed the cowbell before. Sounded great!
That 12-string George is playing though... What glorious noise!
