Fascism is most often described by leftist ideologues and talking heads as a philosophy attributed uniquely to the right of the political spectrum. They tend to claim that the inherent authoritarianism present in fascism is a foundational characteristic of mainstream right-wing thought. Not only is this misconception incorrect, but it’s dangerous; the inability to distinguish distinctive ideologies could lead to situations where true warning signs are missed.
Many attribute the rise of fascism to Italy’s Mussolini. However, few know the name of the man Mussolini regarded as the father of fascism— Giovanni Gentile. Gentile was an Italian philosopher who was influenced by Giuseppe Mazzini, a politician and member of the Action Party, a left-wing party that strongly advocated for the establishment of large supranational organizations such as the EU. Gentile also drew influences from other prominent leftist philosophers, among them Karl Marx (as seen in his essay The Philosophy of Marx) and Georg Hegel (as seen in their respective descriptions of the role of the state in Hegel’s Elements of the Philosophy of Right and Gentile’s Manifesto of the Fascist Intellectuals).

3. Communism/Socialism is Fair
3. Fascism is Right Wing
There’s fascism of political theory, and then there are regimes which are fascistic.
For example, any socialist regime is by its very nature fascistic.
WE have to understand - the European and US versions of “Left” and “Right” are not direct correlations. IN many ways, European “Right-wing” more aligns with US Progressives, but often with a massive overtone of Racism (or anti-semitism).
That being said - Fascism is really more of a model/method than it is a political perspective. ANTIFA, despite their name, are actually purveyors of “Fascism” - which includes the silencing and even violent assault on all speech and actions that oppose their position.
No fascism and communism are one and the same - totalitarian dictatorships.
Picture fascism and communism on a circle. One goes right and one goes left but the both continue to the extreme and meet together on the other side of the circle.
Left wing versus right wing isn’t the important thing.
Totalitarianism versus freedom is the important thing!

Communism is class-based.
Fascism is Race based.
They are both leftist, and their tools are largely the same.
Fascism and Communism are both far left of centre with fascism being just slightly right of communism.
That is how it became known as “right wing”. Fascism allowed for property ownership but still controlled what a person did with that property.
If it is then that mean China is a FAR FAR FAR RIGHT country!!!
And that means that Democrats are taking money from a FAR FAR RIGHT REGIME!
5. Small government is Fascism
( because we know that Hitler was the only man in the German government and the military from 1933-1945 )
Origin of the Species was published in 1859 so it would be a 19th century 'big lie'.
Right and Left as political terms started during the French Revolution. It describes where in the National Assembly the factions sat. If the term is to mean anything in America it is where the factions sit in Congress. Clearly the left side is socialist if not socialist leaning. The Nazi's, or National Socialists , are clearly on the left side in this definition. The left does not like having Nazi's on their side so they lie about it.
Isn’t it funny that those who claim that fascism is right-wing always forget about Hitler who was a left-wing pagan.
In 30’s and 40’s fascists were thought to be leftists. another brand of communist.
But the US imported Germany communist Frankfurt School to the USA. These communists rebranded fascists as right wing.
That was a successful marketing campaign.
Antifa are the lie of the left.
By naming themselves anti-fascist, anything that they oppose automatically becomes fascism.
This corruption of language, and therefore of thought, is what the left derives it’s power from. This and nothing else.
Yep! Totally agree!
I agree, but with the following caveat:
“Right“ and “Left“ are probably the least useful descriptors of political schools of thought ever.
And when it comes to worthless political vocabulary, there is a lot of competition.
Some runners up:
Conservative vs. Liberal. Worthless.
Democrat vs. Republican. Worthless.
Some good ones:
Collective Socialism.
Oligarchy.
Constitutional Republic.
The problem with “Fascism“ is that hardly anyone agrees on a definition.
My favorite definition of Fascism: The Unholy Alliance between Big Government and Big Business.
Fascism, Socialism, Communism, Marxism, are all blood brothers, as for me

Of course not. Conservatives/Right Wing believe in limited government, the opposite of totalitarianism or fascism.
Agreed...but evolution never gained ground in America until the Scopes Monkey Trial
