Why fake?

It looks rehearsed.
People in the house are too calm and prepared. Everything set up so he just has to walk a few steps to the door from the monitor.
Camera work is too steady and good, right down to knowing just when and where to point the camera at the end to catch the guy running behind the bushes after he was out of sight.
Dialog sounds contrived.
Perp’s reaction not normal.
Normal response would have been to run immediately, not shout back and shoot the finger, etc.
Too much rolling around on the ground after being shot with paintballs. If real, he would just have started running. Even when people are shot with real bullets, they run if they can, it’s a visceral reaction.
