A friend with connections to NEWSMAX has asked me to post his idea about the President's acceptance speech. Instead of the White House, move the speech to the Statue of Liberty and have legal immigrants sworn in as citizens before the speech.
I’d say the best idea is to trust our stable genius President Trump.
Only if at the end of our President’s acceptance speech the Statue of Liberty is heard to say ... I’m voting for Four More Years !!!!
Great idea which the dems that run NY will reject or sabotage. If it can be pulled off. An alternative would be to take this great concept and implement it in a more friendly location.

No, we do not need more citizens. This only reminds us of the incomplete wall, his not resubmitting end of DACA, the millions of new illegals and others allowed in during his presidency, no end of H1B and deporting visa workers and illegals.
Legal immigrants becoming citizens is the history of this Republic. I am talking about people who came here for the promise of this country and who have followed the rules, learned the history, and stayed the course. People like my Italian grandfather, denied entry in 1900, went to Canada, became successful and a citizen, yest still crossed the bridge from Ontario to New York and started over and became a citizen. That is who Pres. Trump would be celebrating.
How many of these “legal” immigrants are just H1B conversions?

You are speaking of what 50 people. I am speaking of marketing and branding the Trump campaign as a campaign for all Americans. If seven of these are ch as in migrants so what. The symbolism, the call to our history as the guide to our future is what this event would highlight.
