Comet NEOWISE (C/2020 F3) will continue to become more accessible to northern hemisphere observers as its motion places it higher in the sky each evening after sunset over the next few weeks, Which means the nightly clouds will just have to climb higher each evening. Tonight I drove out to a darker area. Clear sky except for a big ass cloud bank in the NNW. Couldn't see the Bug Dipper or the near it.

I have found it the last couple of nights over the town of Beaufort, SC. Have to look quick because the lights of the town make it hard to see, so, I have to catch it between sunset and losing it in the glare.
Its a nice comet! Make an effort to see it. You need a very low NE horizon, some binos and patience.

We got to see it last night, about 11pm, at the top of our hilly driveway, above the treeline, SW corner of Wisconsin.
North West sky, well UNDER The Big Dipper, visible with the naked eye, but we brought binoculars.
It. Was. Spectacular!
Don’t miss it! Only a few days left!
