How is a photo of a gun terrorism? Its not even illegal.
These judges need to be impeached and thrown out.
Please just quit. Not going to happen. Im so tired of people thinking the govt is going to do crap.
Wake up Karen - justice is not coming from the deep state. They want you dead or to submit.
Who made the complaint? What’s the name? The person charged has a right to confront his accuser.
She was not arrested because she was on the right side. The Trump hating side.It no longer matters what you do. It only matters if you are considered to be for Trump or against Trump. They considered this guy to be for Trump so he is getting the book thrown at him.
Posting on Face Book has sent more people to jail than any one thing. One would think people would learn. But they don’t. This does not apply to the Communists, Socialists, BLM, ANTIFA, Anarchists, Red Guard Members, or those on the Left.
“Because the student was scared by a picture of a firearm with text making fun of liberal snowflakes”
Oh boo hoo, where’s the terroristic threat? Clear case of malicious prosecution, and the prosecuter, judge and student should be held accountable. In fact, under the same Michigan law the student should be charged with making a false report.
There is more to this story: From another page:
Public safety officers said they had numerous prior incidents and contacts with Gerhard, including when an anonymous tip was made to a downstate law enforcement warning that he was a potential school shooter.
My Marine son saw pics of my Army sons boot camp, and he went ballistic, so to speak, over the way the soldiers were carelessly handling their weapons. This story reminded me of that.
[[Maybe there was a bottle of Aunt Jemima syrup in the background.]]
LOL- or maybe he was eating Uncle Ben’s Rice- or using a ‘whitening toothpaste’
There can be no doubt. This is a purely political prosecution. Complete violation of his rights. Totally wrong.
He is being persecuted for being a normal person.
It’s very difficult to have any optimism for the future on this country because of events like this.
“Because the student was scared by a picture of a firearm...”
No, it is really impossible for a student to be scared by a picture of a firearm. It is possible for him to maintain he was.
But what about the entertainment industry that daily has images of people killing and getting killed with a gun. Does the judge think they are all terrorists? Does that student walk around in a cringe all day?
This decision, of course, is merely harassment.
Sounds like a YUGE payday for this young man.
SUE EVERYONE! You can’t lose! 1st Amendment, 2nd Amendment....
Not guilty.Next defendant!
Good law enforcement doesn’t deal in whether things are “fairly described as odd.”
It’s a simple matter of judging content according to context.
Only political law enforcement would follow your line of thinking.
> Good law enforcement doesnt deal in whether things are fairly described as odd. <
Really? Odd behavior is usually suspicious behavior. Its not worth a SWAT team. But I think its worth a gentle look-see. Permit me to present a hypothetical to you. I live about 1/8 of a mile from a public high school. Lets say that one day during the school year Im sitting in my front porch. And I see some guy carrying a rifle heading towards that school.
That is not illegal. I live in an open-carry state. But I would fairly describe it as odd. What should I do? Should I call it in? Or should I just go on doing my crossword puzzle?
If you pick the latter, would your answer change if you had a child at that school?
By the way, I dont think theres an easy answer here. Id feel like crap if the police ended up hassling an innocent guy. But Id also feel like crap if I did nothing and that guy shot up the school.
I think it basically comes down to intuition vs political correctness.
The highest level of judgement is always part intuition.
But political correctness, as the offspring of communism, is not burdened with any need for judgment or intellect.
