So, there is apparently a cruise ship for sale in Curaçao, by auction.
Does anyone else think it's a good idea to dump all of these ideologues for the communist left onto it and really let them become their own nation, living in international waters, farming and raising animals (or maybe not) like the Gears on CNV Sovereign? Around 1953, a perfectly good barge had been abandoned in Panama City, Fl. It was auctioned off for a dollar. The idea quickly entered my head that I could have probably begged my parents for a buck and how much fun it would be to have my own barge.
The two happiest days of a boat owner’s life....
Don’t pollute the water. The sea is a wonderful place. To dump such scum in one of the World’s most beautiful places would be a shame. Perhaps drop them into a volcano.
Obviously I’m not serious, and I don’t smoke. It was a passing amusing thought that I thought I’d share.

That’s unfortunate; the first and the last points. I have a lot of reasons to be devoid of amusement, but Hell if I’ll let anything depress or anger me to the point where I can’t have an occasional chuckle.
The chief engineer on one of my ships wanted to buy a large boat. What was stopping him was the worry about selling it when he was done with it.
I told him to buy it and then put it up for sale and enjoy it till it sold.
I had always wanted a small ship. the closer I got to retirement from the sea the smaller the boat I wanted. My decision was to have only trailerable boats.
