Back in the early part of the year, prior to the COVID-19 lockdowns, a lot of people, including the likes of Dr. Fauci and Anderson Cooper, told us we should be more worried about the seasonal flu than COVID-19.
Typically, around 55,000 Americans die every year from seasonal flu. There are all these websites out there tracking COVID-19 deaths. They tell us how many people died each day from COVID-19 in each State and each country. Currently over 122,000 people have supposedly died in America from COVID-19.
So are there another 55,000 people who died from the seasonal flu in addition to the 122,000 who supposedly from COVID-19? Are there any charts that can tell us? Is anyone keeping track? Is anyone even asking?
Well here is my guesstimate. I'd guess that the typical average of 55,000 Americans died of the flu this year. Another 30,000 elderly people died of natural causes, but their deaths were falsely recorded as being caused by COVID-19. And maybe another 40,000 actually died from COVID-19.
I'm not a doctor, and I'm open to someone completely disproving my guesstimate. Please, somebody, show me some hard data on seasonal flu deaths this year. Because I haven't heard one word about the seasonal flu, ever since the locKdowns began. AND I SMELL A RAT!

I think the biggest concern was and is this CV19 is much more contagious than the Flu and affects oxygen levels in the blood so much more and especially in us Geezers.
Me I havent worn a mask till the Dermo last weeks they required it.
I dont think the people will tolerate what the mayors and governors shoved down their throats these past months if this crap spikes up.

All US deaths this year are covid. Including car accidents, suicides, heart attacks, cancer, strokes, tetanus, old age and getting run over by a bus and/or an Uber.
The seasonal flu has been around a very long time - we have a functional herd immunity from it by being exposed to this kind of virus for a long time and we have a vaccine for it that a significant amount of the population gets every year. We also know how to treat it. The seasonal flu never typically causes the rate of hospitalizations COVID19 was causing as it first started spreading and we had no prior exposure or immunity to it nor vaccine (not to mention many states failed to have enough equipment on hand to be able to handle a major outbreak of any disease and we needed time to replenish this). They are not really comparable. That said, since the initial outbreak, we have learned a lot about it and how to successfully treat it...which is why the danger from it has been declining in many places. We will eventually achieve this same herd immunity.
That’s the difference. That does not mean some policy makers have not used this situation to implement policies that were not necessary, or if they were, kept them in place far longer than necessary. As we know, the Left lies about stuff that is true and uses it for other purposes.

The Covid-19 Death figures are highly inflated by omitting the real cause of deaths by other conditions.
I see the data for flu is only taken during the season ending in early April.... if you come down with it or die after that you don’t count. Meanwhile the data for Covid 19 apparently has no date limit since it’s new and they haven’t determined its seasonality yet, and efforts to flatten the curve could have altered it.

It’s a farce because the numbers are only estimates. That’s all they are.
They are vastly overestimated. Just ask you doctor how many patients he’s lost to flu this year. Then ask over his career.
Don’t be shocked when he tells you it’s zero for both.
