How much did his shotgun go for?
LoL. Looks like the economy is doing OK.
If you were married to Courtney Love, you’d kill yourself too.
How much did his shotgun go for?
He said he did not have a gun.
So what?
And, one should give a damn about this, why?
One of the coolest things about Nirvana, and Grunge in general, is that they rejected commercialism and the crass, out of control party s—t that was in rock from the 60s thru the end of the 80s. They would play at dive bars and talk to fans in person without the backstage thingy. Vince Neil of Motley Crue reportedly hated Nirvana and was pissed because they completely created a new genre of rock music. Every so often, rock music needs a kick in the ass, and Nirvana thankfully ushered in a new era.
“How much did his shotgun go for?”
ROFL! That was cold!
But some genres and some bands think they're so much above the "the little people" that...well...I don't give them my money.
The grunge scene, and Nirvana in particular, often gets credit for killing glam metal. In reality, glam metal was already declining and would have died off anyway.
And while I did like Nirvana, to me they were the least interesting band in the grunge movement. I found Alice In Chains and Soundgarden much more to my liking.
Among the most overrated musician in history.
Dunno, but if he knew how much he'd have made off his guitar, he'd have lost his head. Oh, wait.......
Dang...no “like” button, I agree. WAY over rated. Simple three chord crap, terrible monotone voice, and he looks JUST like the homeless loser begging by the freeway. Yeeech.
As part of that generation (I think Cobain was about a year older than me) I fully agree.
The alternative music explosion that happened between '87 and '92 was such a breath of fresh air, some of the best rock music ever, yet even at the time, I never cared much for Nirvana. I always liked Pearl Jam better, to say the same for Smashing Pumkins, Soundgarden, and Janes Addiciton. All better bands than Nirvana.
Cobain's drug-addled tabloid antics and his grisly suicide cemented his stature ensuring the myth outwighed the reality (I would say the same for Jim Morrison).
As a guitar palyer, it is bittersweet to see this instrument outsell Gilmour's Stratocaster, a far more important instrument in the annals of rock. Just wait until Jimmy Page's #1 '59 Les Paul hits the auction house. Wouldn't be surprised to see it sell for 10 times that money this one brought in.
Lol! Some say she murdered him herself.
