June 15 (UPI) -- Authorities in Switzerland said they are trying to track down the owner of $190,000 worth of gold bars left behind on a train.
The local prosecutor's office in Lucerne said the approximately $190,000 worth of gold bars were found left behind after the passengers left a Swiss Federal Railways train that arrived in the city from St. Gallen.
Officials said the gold was found in October 2019, but they are now appealing to the public for information after months of investigating failed to determine the origins of the precious metal.
The prosecutor's office said the owner of the gold is being given five years to come forward.

So THAT’S where I left them! I’m so absent-minded.
Silly me...
Its a trap. Dont do it.
That proves the expression, ‘More money than brains.’
Where’s Hunter Biden?
And I have 5 years to come up with "the rest of the story".
Look no longer; I am here.
Oh yeah. Then what color is it?
Got a ticket stub?.................
The missing Nazi gold?
quick! call History Channel for a Series!..................
How do you put in a claim for the gold? Couldn’t anyone say they misplaced a gold stash?
If the gold belonged to someone involved in some sort of criminal activity, they might be inclined to let it go, and write it off as a cost of doing business. Otherwise the alternative could be to be in legal trouble for the criminal activity for which the gold was related to.
Is it a kinda goldy, yellow color?
Is it a relatively soft metal content?
Is it in bar form?
Does it seem heavier than the size of the bars would indicate?
Yeah. That’s mine. I was wondering where I put it.
It was probably in a particular type of container which you would have to identify..................
Sure. And anyone that does will be presumed to be the one who left them, at least until proven otherwise. Even if multiple people claim them, same treatement. And all of them will be presumed to be a criminal and subjected to a massive proctology exam looking into every aspect of their lives and finances.
Hey Interpol: They are NOT mine.
Been looking for them forever
How do I get em back?
Man., what a weekend that was.
Helluva hangover...
Can my girlfriend claim them for me, as I am back I the MogadishUSA?
I can verify her as Girgen Keirgen, from the Firged Fjord in Sweden.
She has an apple birthmark in a conspicuous area of her anatomy...
If that helps.
