Yes...ran into a friend of mine today...her avowed Democrat mother is now working with the GOP Party in her semi rural county now; her sister (Dem) is also now saying she’ll vote for President Trump. ..somethings in the wind...

Very good article in the WSJ about why NYC had such a high death toll. Basic reason? Mismanagement. Mismanagement of everything, at every level, which turned the hospitals into nothing but places to go to die.
It didnt just start with the virus, but once this came along, it revealed the absolute chaos that exists at every level in NY city and state government. And on top of that, their two uber-leftist leaders, Cuomo and De Blasio, were busy fighting and each trying to one-up the other.
But of course, dont forget, the only truly important thing is Orange Man Bad.
They live in an upscale gated community. In many ways, for them, the outside world is only what exists on their TV. My BIL jokingly refers to it as “living under the dome”.
They vacation regularly at a very expensive resort in Mexico where the guests are waited on attentively by obsequious Mexicans. So, when I point out the crime and disease brought into this country by illegals, he responds “Well, I don’t think all Mexicans are bad”.
He apparently believes that all the illegals here are like those that wait on them in Mexico - that they go home at night grateful they have the good fortune to serve those wonderful rich gringos.
And I double damn guarantee he did not look it up afterwards, nor will he. Anything I say did not happen if he didnt see it on TV news

I know quite a few people exactly like him, some of whom are my own relatives. Almost all of them avoid me whenever possible because they’ve all heard me say that I believe all such people (without referring directly to them) are either evil or ignorant or both.
Have some faith in the American People, what you are watching is a bunch of fringe nuts, they do not represent the overwhelming majority of Americans.
.............................................
Just what I’ve been telling folks who are getting jumpy watching these fringe nuts. In 2016 close to 129 million people went to the polls. What we’re watching is protesting and rioting by probably less than a million malcontents. Of course the fake media feverishly works night and day to convince the gullible that half the population is burning down the country.
Great idea!
Congratulations.
If the Rats aim here is to increase black turnout...which,analysts have said, was quite low in 16...it just might work. But,I suspect,it might increase white turnout as well.
...............................................
There will be a larger black turnout in November, and a significant percentage of them will be leaving the ‘rat plantation. Did you see Leo Terrell on Tucker tonight? Well that fire-breathing black lawyer seriously ripped into the Democrat Party for their racist history against African-Americans, and implored his brothers and sisters not to be fooled by them any longer. Blacks who see and hear Leo’s rant are going to have some serious second thoughts about voting for Biden.
Im Generation X and Im not that way. My school friends arent that way.
Yes, there are some bad ones but, you must admit, there are plenty of boomers who are terrible.
Bingo.
The Left has been at the White Man Bad stage for a while. I was even scoffed at on FR when I first mentioned there is a war on whites, over a decade ago.
Actually, in 2012 the election garnered 129 million votes, in 2016 there were 137 million votes - the most in US history.

Geez. Don’t they realize that their dome could fall apart sometime soon? I mean, these people are being supplied with equipment that can be used to dismantle their gates and fences, for crying out loud!

Thought sure I had that right, so I thank you for the correction. However, in checking Wikipedia, it has apparently made the same error I did!?

I completely agree. I love President Trump. I support everything he does, (as in actions). One of the greatest presidents of our time. But when I hear how he speaks, the little clips of phrases, he is not doing well at communicating or furthering our cause or educating. Whoever is guiding him in this area needs to be fired, and he needs new advisors.

Folks, Let Trump be Trump. That is why he gets done what he gets done.
If Trump fails he will look us in the say he did his BEST. I can ask no more of any man..............................

I'm 57 and some of my biggest strides as a man have come in the last few years. We are never too old to grow as a person. So I strongly disagree with you. Trump is certainly always going to be the one will final say over what he does and says but he should be at least listening to others who possess wisdom in other areas that the president isn't strong in.
A simple example is the fact that Trump just changed his rally date. How the heck did that snafu happen? Either he didn't have someone competent around him to foresee the problem or he overruled someone and then paid for it after the fact by having to change the date.
Trump needs new advisers (especially speechwriters and speech coaches for his canned speeches which are not good) and he has to at least listen to them.
Not a problem. Stuff like that only happens to other people.
