New estimates released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicate that COVID-19 may have an infection fatality rate as low as 0.26%, a number that is double the seasonal flu but significantly lower than earlier estimates.
Determining the infection fatality rate of the illness has been a critical goal of scientists around the world since the discovery of the disease in late November. Infectious disease experts were shocked at the end of last year and into 2020 at both how quickly the disease spread and how many of those who became ill ultimately died.
In early February, modelers at Imperial College London estimated that around 1% of infections of COVID-19 would ultimately result in death. That number, which is about 10 times higher than the seasonal flu, shocked much of the world

That scenario states that the overall fatality rate of infections that show symptoms is around 0.4%. Yet the CDC says it estimates that around 35% of all infectious are asymptomatic, meaning that the total infection fatality rate under the agency's "best estimate" scenario is around 0.26%, or a little more than twice that of the seasonal flu.

We need to know what it is for age and co-morbidity condition cohorts vs. The Flu for this season.
Since about half of fatalities are in nursing homes or other long-term care facilities, the danger to the general population may be similar to that of the normal seasonal flu.
I’m sure that Brix and Fauci are overjoyed that we are approached 100,000 deaths. That’s how sick I believe they are. Fauci will appear and say he was right.

I have not seen data for age or co-morbidity, but this would seem to lower risk for healthy people even more.

The POS left and right Trump hatists ran with these BS FAKE numbers AFTER they found out they could make the crisis benefit them and react to the first move of the President. Most death has been nursing homes,suicides and death by societal breakdown. It would be just a nasty Flu season if a Democrat were president in an election year.
About 21,000 people have died from Covid in New York City. A 0.26% death rate implies over 8 million people in NYC have had Covid, virtually the entire population, which is not true.

And that’s resisting the early combined use of HCQ and zinc in many cases, as well as with a half-dozen big Dem guvs shipping thousands of Covid positive patients into tight nursing home quarters.
Just adjust for those two nasty moves and you’re probably below 0.15, at least.
If from CNN - then even this number may be inflated. There is every reason to believe that though COVID-19 Wuhan virus was found present at the postmortem examination of the deceased, it was not the proximate cause of death, and may not even have been of such level to have caused the morbidity. But in a rush to exacerbate the impact of the plague, all these other deaths were conflated with the COVID-19 numbers, and the disease appeared to be much worse than it really is.
Oh, death as a direct result of a COVID-19 infection is a very real phenomenon, once it gets past the normal defenses of the body, and you are just as dead either way. But the defenses can be shored up if treatment is started quickly enough, before the disease has totally overwhelmed the natural resistance that is built into every human being virtually from birth.
This is where antibody treatments and the HCQ-zinc-arithromycin protocol come in, rushing to boost the natural body resistance to microbiol agents.
That’s the problem with believing we should continue to be cautious: you don’t want people to think you’d rather be right even if it means more lives are lost.
Believe me, I don’t want to be right on this one. But if I had to bet, I’d bet that we are starting to take the wrong course and will be sorry.
I question the reliability of many hospital reported COVID deaths, especially NYC. They get paid for COVID deaths, but indigent deaths from other causes may not get payments at all.
So it really was just the flu.

We’ve seen age cohorts, but next to nothing on co-morbidities other than the most vague things.
In FL our great Gov stated that the over 90 years old out number all combined under 65 for deaths.
So we are looking at a survival rate of about 99.75% and we close the country for this!!!!!!!!!!!
