Except around here people smoking are more than twice as likely to be using marijuana than tobacco.

The "rebels" have become the mainstream.\

maybe we could have saved a lot more lives by banning marijuana completely instead of trashing the economy.

And/or by banning tobacco.

Why waste your energy trying to ban somerhing that is already on the way out?

To save lives as you were advovcating - epidemics move many times faster than social trends in tobacco use.

Marijuana now brings in twice as much as much revenue for the state as alcohol and tobacco combined.

Supposing that's true (and there's no evidence on display) it means dollars going to legal sellers rather than criminals - more winning!

No, the people I knew growing up and as an adult who sold pot were/are far less evil than the bandits currently raking in billions of dollars “legally” selling pot and related items. Pretty much anyone who came of age in the 70s can tell you the same thing.

First of all, you know only a small and nonrandom sample of "anyone who came of age in the 70s." Second, I see no reason for anyone to accept your blanket statement absent even so much as specific allegations of what makes them "evil" (still less any evidence for such allegations).

Get with the times, gramps - today's cartels think nothing of cutting off heads and leaving them in the town square.

Let’s see despite mounting evidence we can’t be sure quinine drugs and a zpak help

But some expert knows for shizzle that weed makes Covid worser

Yep

That is complete and utter ignorance

Tobacco does town marijuana

Ridiculous assertion

I’ll tell you who does cause like Paul Harrell I’m what you call a professional in the pot ag ....since 1972 with some sabbaticals here and there

Who grows weed in America today is 2/3rds small time individual growers who if they do it right indoors and outdoor in season can make a decent living 150-300,000 a year selling it to dispensaries or back door or making edibles or concentrates themselves and selling it however via legal states

This is from the COW states to Michigan and Colorado and the newer legal states that allow growing or importing from state’s which allow collateral transfer of bonded or permitted pot goods like from California to Oklahoma

Twenty percent of growers are commercial outfits ranging from Cargill and Ter Laak Orchids from Holland who operate near Santa Barbara and other agri business folks and just capital ventures often those who own dispensary chains though most dispensaries buy contract weed too. I’ve visited a lot of grows and have yet to see one owned by RJR or Philip Morris ..not one. Canada had or has Canopy Growth which is in trouble since the USA production model is so vast now.

American agriculture businesses are still leery frankly though I have been to a large Colorado operation where ADM and BUNGE were there doing tech recon for perhaps future plans

The Dutch as expected do the best of any large ops I’ve witnessed like 150 acre green houses and light dep operations

That’s the state of the weed boy now

The rest is Mexican cheap weed gets in but nobody wants it that I know of. It costs 20% of high grade ...slightly better than old Colombian. A new player on the supply market is actually CBD weed that got out of hand and the THCA percentage got too high like 10-12% ...it’s cheap and folks trust it’s sourcing more than New Gen cartel weed so they buy the disqualified CBD weed for cheap like 100/pound and make concentrates...exponential profits

The CBD biz did just like I feared ...mushroomed and imploded ...can give it away..and I had acreage and tags and just passed on it

Folks were counting that money.....120,000 profit per acre and so little work

Wrong on both counts...richest weed growers I know work like farmers ...hard

By the time Trump leaves office it’ll be legal everywhere pretty much when he decrims federally and then I think big agro and maybe big tobacco will jump in and indeed matter a lot...

One caveat large scale weed ops indoor are hard ...nest results are climates that allow long or continuous growing seasons

I’ve seen a 100,000 sq foot warehouse in Arvada with 10,000 nice lights tween veg and flowering units lose huge harvest from mites, mold and bud rot

Call in the best horticulture guys from places Hawaii or Bellingrath gardens or Disneyworld and to no avail

Chop it all down and start over...millions lost and spent

That’s something yet to mastered in indoor

Anyhow ..I’m not arguing just informing...like I said I’m what you call a professional so don’t try this at home

PS
Both RJR and Philip Morris have ventured into the Canadian weed production market and ....failed...which might explain their hesitation here to jump in large...plus Cargill and ADM are in my view better suited...as are large ag co ops like Wheat Growers in SD or Cotton farmers in California or Arizona and the few independents left in the Mississippi delta

But indoor weed is again a whole other animal from row crops

Gummies are the most common edible for weed
Take one and wait 45 minutes

I would not do a pot oil enema

It’s highly concentrated....it would be a very bad experience relative to a bad LSD experience but on a different plane

Nonetheless uncomfortable

You’re right but I miss my Reds from 1991

I lit a Marlboro light for my oldest daughter last night and I knew instantly why I like them...the sharpness a burst of nicotine brings..damn

But I bet a majority of freepers smoke cigarettes or did

Butter not to be confused with batter which is a dab form

Is the best way to use inferior weed or stretch the value of money spent on herb

I think

If done right you don’t taste it in the slightly green butter

Yes and I can attest that the two people on this planet I’ve been closest to ever both destroyed or are destroying their lives with booze despite repeated attempts at sobriety

I detest a damned selfish drunk ...

I’m dealing with this as we speak....

Pot has in the 1000s of pot smokers I’ve known at worst caused laziness and apathy

Not good but far less harmful

Many people I know function quite well on pot during down time which is when I’d smoke were I allowed

I smoked steady Snoop like from 71/72 to 84/85 and from 90-91

I miss it...great for sex

Freepers who hate weed tend to live in libtard states and hate the smokers which I understand I have to deal with lazy growers spouting stupid political huffpo talking points...I just ignore their craziness

When I tell them I saw the Dead when Pig Was still alive that shuts them up in awe

Where I live I know only 2-3 libtard pot smokers for every 100 pot smoker I know

“150-300,000 a year”

All the old timers in norcal limit themselves to $100k cash per year. They give the rest away, grow less, whatever.

That’s why they’re old timers.

My cousin is 70. And he grows 99 tagged plants per year in Sonoma county. Makes a humble living on a remote and sheltered 1 acre. He’s been growing there for over 40 years.

The big shots never do well. Rip offs, shots fired, feds etc.

That’s all about humidity and cleanliness protocols. The have to be inculcated into staff at least weekly, and monitored.

Dimwits were running that place. Kids, no doubt.

And growing weed is hard, scientific work.

You have to be both smart and have a strong back.

It’s a full time job.
