Governer Coumo should be arrested for banning HCQ and allowing so many to needlessly die, I submit that he does not have the authority to ban a legal drug. This is an outrage, where is the media? Doesn't anyone care about these people? There is a treatment that works for most people, maybe nearly all if used early. I am so disappointed in our country. Since when does American sit around and let this happen?

To be fair the states with low death count you mentioned are out in the boonies, rural, not dense population, and don’t have 100’s of thousands foreign travelers entering their airports each month.

I’ve been wondering how much a role housing plays in this, especially illegal multi-family dwellings, tenements. If families are multi-generational, are all sheltering in place together with no room to isolate a sick family member, that’s a recipe for disaster. Add elevators, tight stairwells...

Nevada Democrat Governor banned the use of HCQ here. Then it was discovered that his Dept of Corrections was ordering massive amounts-—”to protect those in prison”.
I contend that the number of Nevada prisoners VS the Nevada population is not going to cover that story for him.

There were only 347 dead yesterday, if I recall correctly. The number had been falling for three days. It was well over 1,000 last Thursday.

That number is the 24 hour number. NY reports a 24 hour cycle that corresponds with Cuomo’s briefings. It is not a panic number. Additionally the number of fatalities reflects the number of cases 7 to 10 days ago. The number of new cases in NY continues to drop and hospital discharges outnumber admissions.

Discharges may not be all good news since Cuomo is forcing nursing homes to take back sick residents the facilities may not be properly able to deal with.
Steuben County in Upstate NY has five deaths teported, all 5 residents of one nursing home, IIRC.
