I have some friends who are uhm...not Republicans and they are insisting The President declare some sort of national Emergency under some assumed imprimature, of which, I am unaware he is able to do under the Constitution.
Then, after two weeks, we can be done with it and go back to business.

One of the main problems we have is that a large number of Americans are not very patient at all.

Only two weeks, really, simply give us all the control, and this will be done after two weeks.
Two weeks later... We have to extend it.
What we need is a standard for when this ends. We need a measuring stick, but no one is willing to give one. That’s the problem with these stay at home orders - they have no sunset for when (or if) they’ll ever be lifted. Which is insane - what politician wants to lift it and then get buried in ‘my grandmother died’ stories?
Since it was mostly the governors (and county health officers) who started this snowball rolling, it’s probably out of Trump’s direct control for the moment.
All in all, I’m shocked it has gone as well as it has. I seriously expected this last weekend to be watching helicopter footage of looting. Might get that this weekend with the ‘enhanced’ stay at home orders which are starting to roll out.
We’re riding a tiger right towards ‘bath time.’
Things can’t be too serious as I still have telemarketers.
What’s nonsense is anyone who doesn’t understand our President knows what he’s doing!
