Trump wants the medical “experts” to bail him out, and it doesn’t appear they are going to oblige. He has a real tough call to make soon.

I cannot believe, in the United States of America, we’re having to beg our elected officials to let us go back to work!

This entire episode is a steaming pile of bull sh*t!

Benjamin Franklin was right when he said:

“They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

....

Yep! And he’s going to have to make this call sooner rather than later! Our economy and future depend on it!

“Did Fauxci & Birx nix that date?”

These two went on a MSM doom tour the days before Trump was decide whether to go ahead with the Easter decision then they
went to the office with the end of the world predictions in a very public way. They put Trump in a vice no way he could do anything other then what he did. Maybe necessary but no way the Easter let up was happening after that. They fully intend the same move near the end of April bank it.

I would go the other way.
I would NOT allow any state with high numbers of infected go back to work. About 5 states?
Also, i would exclude large urban areas or counties with high numbers of infected people.
And i would also make it clear that only people with legitimate ID’s from those state/counties that are deemed safe can work in those states/counties.
This will prevent spreading the virus from other infected areas to States/counties deemed safe.

I believe there are 9. UT, WY, ND, SD, NE, OK, AR, Iowa and another. There,s an article on here from this morning, complaining of no national orders, mostly from severely stricken areas.

Within OK several cities have shut down what they deem non essential

Nebraska just counted an 80 something year old in Hospice... probably on “do not resuscitate orders”.

We need to be honest about what is destroying our economy.

The Media is currently wanting to lock down South Dakota for 3 months... just because they are still open for business with 240 positives out of 5,600 tested.

The model they are demanding SD be locked down is based on NYC spread numbers.

Doesn’t the Media realize in meat packing plants don’t pack, we run out of meat in a month. If the breadbasket doesn’t plant, in less than 6 months, millions around the world starve.

I think the global shutdown and widespread isolation is overdone, county by county rules, based on #cases/100,000 would be better low incidence (low mobility/rural) should be handled very differently than high incidence (high mobility/city) just as WVa has low case load burden, and New York has high case load burden. The one size fits all approach unnecessarily impacts low risk populations, and are insufficient for severely effected areas

will we ever feel "safe" again?...viruses just don't disappear....we will still need to practice good hygiene.... and, we should probably all try to get in better health..

If we ever get to see the full data on the underlying conditions, etc. of the people had who needed hospitalization, or ventilators or who died, we might feel "safe" (or wisely not) to go out in crowds again. I hope that we are allowed to see those statistics. If so, it may be more effective than any study ever done to motivate people to live a healthier lifestyle.

It may turn out that something like obesity is very significant. The USA is the most obese advanced country in the world, with more than 36% of our population obese.

On the other hand, if it turns out that a significant % of those who died are people who are very frail, bedridden, elderly people with dementia in a nursing home, that will tell another story. What we need are the facts.

MO will “shut down” tomorrow even though most of its Wuhan Chinese virus cases are in the St Louis metro area and most counties have no cases of the disease. But to be honest, lots of things have been shut down for the last couple of weeks. Schools have been out, playgrounds are closed, most restaurants are drive-through only, but all of the Chinese places are closed. Big department stores have been shuttered.

Our brilliant media personalities all know fully well that meat and bread come from grocery stores! Those are still open, so what’s the problem?

How about letting people voluntarily go back to normal life.

I see it more as a county-by-county thing than state by state. Of course state governors are in charge. Thus far they have made these decisions on a state-wide basis.

I doubt much is re-opened during April. One would think rural counties make a case with their governors to re-open in a few weeks. But in urban counties this thing probably drags on well into May.

There are pics of him with H->! too.

Between his donations and his love letter about/to H->!, the guy is a yuge security risk as an advisor to Trump.

good point!

I'm not saying that some urban cities and states are counting EVERYTHING they can as coronavirus, but...

...there is a statistical 'norm' for certain kinds of deaths every winter. Except this year, breaks the norm. Hmm... I wonder why?

Depends on ‘essential’

Retail in Iowa is shut down as much as anywhere.

Grocery, pharmacy, fuel, and transport/mechanical are open but limited.

Takeout out only and drive thru only from restaurants and bars.

Iowa gov is not being a drama queen, despite the scum-sucking media and Dems.
