Biden claims to be Ivy League professor: 'I've spent a lot of time on campus'

Former Vice President Joseph R. Biden returned Wednesday to his longtime habit of gilding his academic credentials.

Mr. Biden claimed to be an Ivy League professor at the end of a nearly 8-minute, rambling answer to a question from an 18-year-old on what he was doing to appeal to young voters who may favor Sen. Bernie Sanders for the Democratic presidential nomination.

“There’s a lot we can do. When I left the United States Senate, I became a professor at the University of Pennsylvania,” he said, bringing up that fact to claim that his professorship established a bond with college students.

After mentioning a school that bears the Biden name at the University of Delaware, Mr. Biden said, “I’ve spent a lot of time on campus with college students.”

In fact, Mr. Biden was given an honorary-professor position one week after he left the vice president’s office in 2017. (He also misstated the time of his becoming the first “Benjamin Franklin Presidential Practice Professor,” as he left the Senate in 2009 to become vice president.)

I would assume by now that Joe Bye-done has forgotten that he said he would pick a female. Before that he said he would pick a Hispanic like Robert Francis O’Rourke.

It’s not actually his choice anyway. He will be told who to pick.

I have four degrees, one of those part-time online. On-campus total is about 7 years. Somehow I got on the mailing list of the National Association of Scholars where my mailing label includes the honorific “Prof”. Maybe I gave them money or maybe I completed a survey, not sure what was the genesis.

I always said watch who the VP will be, that will be your president. A perfect DNC dream come true! That person will be hand picked, does not have to be elected, chosen, or appointed by the people the rat party will do this for you.

I am familiar with this phenomenon.

Pharmaceutical companies sending mass-mailings to druggists always address them to "Dr. xxx."

The thinking is: If he's a dr., it will be correct. If he isn't a dr., it will be incorrect, but he'll be flattered."

I expect it's that way in lots of other lines of business, too.

My version is if he makes it to the convention he will pick Hillary or Michelle and will suddenly have the 25th amendment invoked on him if elected. Personally though I think both women will wasn’t him out of the way and be inaugurated themselves as potus.
